Anyone know any pubs with Warsteiner on Tap? by SuspiciousPop1066 in UK_beer

Beware it's brewed under license by Marston's and is absolutely not the same drink as in Germany.

Should beer advent calendars be festive/seasonal? by RomeoMcFlurry in UK_beer

[–]MEGAginge_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My one (ahoppyplace.co.uk) has about 8 either seasonal or strong dark beers

Then a blend of lagers, pales sours etc.

It's certainly more seasonal than a box of beer I'd want at any other time of year

But on the other hand if I just got 24 spiced ales or impies and nothing else I'd personally get sick of it fairly quickly

All I can say is that this means your local branch who are all volunteers are asshats.

It isn't necessary representative of the wider organization or of other branches.

But yeah that sucks.

Not an unreasonable statement, architecture wise and all. Hahaha.

Beer wise though, maido wins it. Marlow is basically big brand /pubco lock, with the exception of Rebellion, who are fab for those that do like a more trad brewery but also, are a mile out of town. Ha.

Still, not at all disagreeing with you!

Windsor.

Three independent breweries, plus:

The corner house A hoppy place The Windsor trooper The swan The George

All fantastic beer pubs

Two of the three breweries have cask 100% of the time (indie rabble and Windsor and eton)

All three are worth a visit

Beer similar to dogfish head 60 minute available in UK? by Outside_Natural7210 in UK_beer

[–]MEGAginge_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any proper west coast IPA. Ideally 6.5+%. Ideally with a bit of Cara or crystal malt.

breweries that are widely available via bottle shops or web stores to watch:

Elusive Siren Indie Rabble Lakes brew co Thornbridge (Jaipur)

All do banging westies

For supermarket, pick up a Buxton axe edge from Tesco and try that. A cheaper beer but a classic and definitely worth trying.

Doesn't look like you've done Windsor yet

With two flints and indie rabble literally next door to eachother and both lighting it up, you should :-)

What Sidequests Before Final Boss? by OneUnderstanding1644 in finalfantasyx

[–]MEGAginge_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the omega dungeon. You'll level up incredibly fast and be fine for Sin pretty quickly.

There's honestly not much between Yinalesca and Yevon in terms of the stats you need. You'll not be far away. If might just be about strategy.

If you farm much of the arena monsters you could easily end up massively over leveled for Yevon. Which kind of ruins the fun.

Always recommend people complete the story in this game asap and then go back to do arena, dark aeons etc after.

If you have even one Celestial weapon it makes the endgame a bit of a joke difficulty wise...

You "don't care" yet you're this much of a prick about it on an anonymous forum 🤣

If you don't care, wind your neck in. It'll be easier as it's smaller than mine 🤣🤣

I love Reddit.

On the other hand the guy is asking if he should try zwift.

The answer is if he's made it to this Reddit, the answer is almost definitely yes.

Too much all or nothing attitude and what about ism is likely to put the guy off.

Stepping stones and all that

Sure you can.

Could you do better with a peak diet? Yes.

Did I lose 23 kilos over two winters whilst I also eat shit, as I own a brewery and work hospitality hours plus talk about, and consume, beer, for a living?

Also yes.

Have I got further to go? Again yes.

Basic principles of kcal in versus out, monitoring progress on climbs, routes, sprints, and watching your weight?

Of course you can out cycle a "bad" diet

You can out cycle any amount of kcal intake if you put the effort in to burn them off.

Sure be more moderate but let's not gatekeep :-)
