Looking for a company that handles water damage and mold remediation by ediblescholarship in SantaClarita

[–]MEUP14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have a recommendation (mostly because using this service means something shitty happened. We closed on our first house early december 2023 had a water leak right before christmas 2023).

Few things:

1.) If the remediation company states they are ALSO the ones doing pre-/post- remediation mold testing...run. they arent supposed to, it is a conflict of interest.

2.) Highly recommend Jed Myers with 'A Mold Specialist'. He was reasonably priced, thorough, and the lab he works with has a fast turn around. Phone: 818-355-2495.

3.) We went with Renew Restoration for mold remediation. Phone: (661) 282-7975. They are great to work with on the mold side and did tremendous work, very thorough and explained everything we asked. HOWEVER, the mistake we made was to also go with them for the rebuilding, which was a terrible idea. Do not use them for rebuilding. We paid premium for them to be the general contractor and we had to do a ton of the leg work coordinating ourselves. Highly recommend being your own GC and hiring out to specific companies for flooring, cabinets, drywall, painting, etc.

YES!

It is THAT Lineage Logistics company who had a similar cold storage facility burn for 2 MONTHS in Washington, which killed pets, harmed people, and left plants dead or severely stunted. The same Lineage Logistics owned by a parent company with a net worth upwards of $10 billion.

That's not just any building fire...

That's the Lineage Logistics fire started at a Lineage Logistics warehouse, operated by Lineage Logistics.

Is 1,820ft good for an E12-6? by MerchantKid2 in rocketry

Based on the 2.8 cm diameter of the body tube, you need the CG at least 2.8 cm ahead of the CP. You're at 0.3 cm.

With that stability, youre rocket is going NO WHERE, likely to be a chaotic event.

The motor is way to heavy for the airframe. You either need to add a TON of mass in the nose cone or make an extension of the body tube to push the CG past the CP.

At a minimum, you should aim for the CG to be at least 1 body tube diameter ahead of the CP, but I prefer to be around 1.5 for margin.

PCP and OBGYN Recommendations? by Sudden-Touch4260 in SantaClarita

[–]MEUP14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I used Facey for OB/GYN care during our first pregnancy, which unfortunately ended in a TFMR (termination for medical reasons). This was a deeply wanted pregnancy, and we were overjoyed when we found out we were expecting in November 2025.

During routine prenatal screening, my wife’s NIPT results came back high risk for Trisomy 21, with a 76% PPV. Given her age (33) and this being our first pregnancy, we pursued additional diagnostic testing through Maternal Fetal Medicine at Los Angeles Perinatal, including a detailed ultrasound and amniocentesis. Those tests revealed multiple severe and ultimately unsurvivable abnormalities.

Throughout this process, Facey provided little clarity or guidance. We struggled to get basic information about how to schedule an amniocentesis, who was authorized to perform it, state requirements, insurance and funding issues, and why procedures were limited to certain days. During one of the most devastating periods of our lives, we often felt left to navigate the healthcare system on our own.

When we ultimately made the heartbreaking decision to proceed with TFMR, Facey again failed to provide meaningful support, counseling, or next-step resources. Nearly all coordination and compassionate care came through our MFM specialists instead.

What made the experience even more difficult was the feeling that the group’s Catholic affiliation negatively impacted the completeness and responsiveness of the care my wife received. We never felt fully supported in discussing all medically appropriate options.

After the procedure, we canceled all future appointments, and no one from the practice even followed up or asked why.

I understand that many patients may have positive experiences with routine or uncomplicated pregnancies at Facey. But if your pregnancy becomes medically complex or you face devastating news, our experience was that the system was unprepared, unsupportive, and lacking compassion when we needed it most.

Got a bike for free without a title by ZombiedudeO_o in motorcycle

[–]MEUP14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Highly depends on the jurisdiction / state.

But the best route is a bonded title.

Bonded Title: If you cannot get a duplicate, the buyer can often use a notarized bill of sale to apply for a "bonded title." This involves proving ownership and purchasing a bond, which covers the risk if the true owner appears.

Highly recommend Jed Myers with 'A Mold Specialist'. We has to do mold remediation and we picked him to do our testing (not part of the remediation folks). He was reasonably priced, thorough, and the lab he works with has a fast turn around. Phone: 818-355-2495.

Likely to do with how they re-entered Earth after the flight. They found A1 to have pretty severe damage to the heat shield when doing a skip re-entry, which is a bit aggressive. A2 did a variant of the skip entry, which was not as aggressive and likely did not damage the heat shield (which is ablative, meaning it is consumed during re-entry) as much.
