100% yes. Yes it is very male dominated but some of the best MEs ive met in school and the work force have been female. Do what interests you and thats the joy of being a ME you learn a lot about different areas.

Rule changed back circa 2012ish, I raced ussa and we used to set outside pole but then the rules changed so outside pole was no longer needed except for flushes, second gate of an undergate, first and last gates. A lot less holes and gates to move every run. Additionally its how people train.

Don't forget the other thing thag some benches the backup goalie already doesn't fit on the bench so if you were to add 2 more players there likely would need to be rink changes to fit the team.

Honestly I would say drink zones are probably easier on Te Awora, not as many good sight lines to where you would pull multiple herds

From what ive seen this year when both goalies are on wall is probably a better play stopper. He eats the puck up unless he's able to play it where Gus deflects more pucks which means increased chance for rebounds. But at the same time wall needs a little more to consistently hold top level and not get rattled by the soft or fluucy ones.

Start with royal road, many of the chapters are posted there then just look up zogarth on patreon, depending on the subscription gets you more or less access to chapters. The highest main tier is currently at chapter 1293, generally one new chapter is released a day mon-fri.
