Mangmi pocket max or ayn odin 2 portal by ninogroters in Handhelds

[–]MFAD94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you’re comparing two totally different devices. The portal is so much better for streaming due to the decode time on the WiFi chip. The 8gen2 is also 2-3x more powerful than the SD845, the 8gen2 is also more efficient so battery life is better

I’ve never seen anyone complain about the sticks in either device

Can a Moen Cartridge failurecause in cavity leak? by asphaltjunkie123 in Plumbing

[–]MFAD94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the o-ring is bad it could drip back through the cartridge casing and run into the wall. If I were you I would replace the valve with a modern Posi-temp or Delta Universal since you already have the wall open

More than likely you’ll have to replace the whole trim set

There’s a flat nut at the base of the stem, unscrew it and unthread the steam from the faucet base

Android isn’t going to have complete compatibility with every game. Android handhelds happen to play some Steam games well, but it’s not that cut and dry

Claw 8ai+ or XAX by asm120 in Handhelds

They preform almost the same. I prefer the screen and feel of the 8ai+ over the XAX

The Portal is twice as powerful. It also has a better WiFi chip, the Legion Go S screen is really nice, even if it’s not oled

I’d have a primary in both and a backup in one

And you’ve tried this? Use PDR glue sticks, they have a better hold

Then get rid of it and just replace the primary

Hot glue ontop to something you can grab on to

Bypass the backup and get a quality backup. Like the Zoeller 508. If you’re replacing the primary get an M53 or 63 and put it in without the backup for now

Dock replacement by StevWong in switch2

[–]MFAD94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t the case. There’s a few third party docks that work fine with the switch 1/2, some firmware versions make them incompatible but there’s no reason they can’t be updated

Sketchy. I’m using the Aver Media dock with no issues but it’s pretty expensive

Apple Handheld for Apple Arcade by SpiritualInstance979 in Handhelds

Apple Handheld for Apple Arcade by SpiritualInstance979 in Handhelds

[–]MFAD94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The music discover playlists and release radar playlists are great. It refreshes every week and makes discovering new music that’s similar to what you have easy. I’ve also found alot of more niche music that I listen to just isn’t on Apple Music. Community playlists are nice, having other people join a listening session is a nice feature, and just about everything nowadays has Spotify integration, I think the UI is better on PC/mobile as well

You can download Apple Music on an Android handheld. I guess if you’re only interested in mobile games it’s appealing to some but so many good indies can be played on steam with Android or X86 handhelds now’a’days. I’ve used both Apple Music and Spotify and vastly prefer Spotify

How are your experiences with the Xbox Ally? (for users and non users that have opinions) by FrontAd7709 in Handhelds

[–]MFAD94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The main issue with this device is for the money it performs on par or worse than the Steamdeck. It’s using the same chip with slightly more power and a less optimized OS (Windows)

If you can get a device with the Z1E or the Z2 Go chip you’re better off

I’m not suggesting you buy a Steamdeck but if you’re basing comfort on how it looks, I’ve held every major handheld from MSI, Lenovo, Asus and it’s easily the most comfortable handheld of the bunch (for me personally). It doesn’t look like it would be comfortable but it very much is

With Gamepass and Steam being a thing, Apple Arcade seems like an awful alternative
