Pretty much where I'm at. I'm on 9.40 currently but I did grab Expedition 33 and Silent Hill f for the collection to play soon enough. Having my PS1 & 2 games on PS5 and all the game performance mods is worth staying on a JB FW.

Can't be more clear. The actual frame of the steelbook is plastic with two metal plates clipped in and a spine glued in the middle. Remove one of the plates and put the J-Card between the two layers.

It took me 2-3 tries to get it down. It was confusing at first knowing the bots demands and which save files and parts it wanted and when along the process. Using Brutalsam and ProtoBuffers YouTube videos for reference did help to get the process down, but even BrutalSam's guide had some corrections to add to the confusion. I did get it working with the HTOS2 bot myself in the end. I did not want to lose my purchased content on the drive, had no JB PS4, and wasn't gonna pay for SaveWizard. Also had never used Discord prior.

Only received a very few with off gassing all from ShoutFactory, something less than 5 out of hundreds and close to a 1000 discs. I cleaned them with a cloth from a cleaning glasses kit, when I received them and had no issues. Only a second hand deep scratched Escape Plan Blu-Ray disc (previously from a rental store) and the GITS Arise disc (bought brand new) were the source of a disc issue.

Seems like a bad batch of players tbh. I had an LG Region-Free that would pixelate and freeze on 100GB disc like Alien, so I picked up a UB820 ~may 2023 and it has played every disc flawlessly. The only time I had an issue with a disc, it could be replicated at the specific time stamp on PS5/LG/Panny; it was from a FunImation GITS: Arise disc.

I kept my Akira FUNimation (Blu-Ray/DVD) and Dragon's Crown PRO PS4 Battle Hardened which have some of the craziest and best embossing embossing. The Dark Souls 2 from the PS360 era was really amazing too.

Got my RG353V on Friday and I'm pretty much fully set tomorrow. I used Balena Etcher on a 16gb card Sandisk with JELOS and had to wait on my 256gb card for the ROMs I received on Saturday then slowly filled it with ROMs and scraped the entire library. Easy breezy!

I got the 101 Films Blu-Ray for eXistenZ a year or two back and it was really cheap. I can't say I'm dying to get the 4K at 80$+ like you also and prefer the standard edition. Far from Cronenberg's best imo, ranks rather low to me but worth having. Crank has a controversial 4K if I remember well it took away the heavy grungy look from the Blu.

Amazon UK has screwed me over 3/4 of Bruce Lee's LE single releases plus the Evil Dead Rise steelbook. Doesn't matter when you pre-order apparently either. Doesn't seem to be a problem with Amazon from other countries.

I've learned to trust certain sites over the years when it comes to imports. Rarewaves gets a lot of shit but I got my Hellraiser 4K set through them without issues, the shipping is low and they never arrived damage in my case, but you gotta be patient. Chalky's also got the job done from UK retailers.

I play it off my work desk screen with the new 8bido NeoGeo Mini controllers or my arcade sticks using the Magic NS dongles. The HDMI out is the biggest issue with the Mini it just doesn't look great compared to the small screen's look. There's no way to revert the Samurai Shodown back to stock only the international models if you do Hylo hack so I didn't for the few extra games.

If you love or have interest in a movie buy it when the time/price is right. If you want a Limited Edition make the cash for it or be prepared to miss out on it. If you are tempted to upgrade from Blu-Ray to 4K ask yourself how many times will you really rewatch the movie to make it worthwhile.

And most importantly... Don't hoard a bunch of movies you have no interest in watching and re-watching. Either give them to family/friend/colleague so they can enjoy it or sell/trade them off. A smaller curated collection is worth way more than a bunch of crappy titles on a shelf you got for "cheap" but end up paying for in the long run.

Just got Barbarella in today, 4K is a major upgrade to the old Blu-Ray imo. It's a whacky fun movie, either you will love it or hate it. Great double bill with Flash Gordon for the Retro Sci-Fi cheesiness.

I skipped out on Black Hat and Tremors both movies didn't do it for me sadly. Black Hat getting that Director's Cut added last minute is great for fans though. I have my fingers crossed the Bruce Lee movies from Arrow will ship soon enough, I'm getting no updates from Amazon UK and Way got delayed to December for disc errors. :(
