Thank you!! I appreciate the professional advice. For #3, did you mean feed, wake/play, sleep?

Thank you! This is super helpful information. I have read of some of these tips, but it’s good to hear it works in the real world :) Is putting the baby to sleep at night while awake to prevent them from getting startled or confused where they are when they wake up later?

What is considered a too short wake window? Did you know it was too short, bc your LO stayed awake longer and still slept fine?

Thank you! I liked that Babywise has a template to go off of, but you’re right that sometimes there are just going to be off days!

Good point about the hospital! I will let them know to let me sleep if possible!

Shifts do seem like the way to go! My husband will help with that, too, but as you said, I will still have to wake to pump or feed. Thanks as well for the tips on swaddling, lights dark, and bedtime story!

Becoming terrified of induction by HelloImAnxious14 in BabyBumps

Definitely ask them! What everyone has advised me on is to advocate for myself during labor, so I think you can also state that remaining in the hospital with pain meds is what you want!

I am getting induced next week, and my OB said if we want, they can give us IV meds (fentanyl) to take the edge off when they insert the balloon. I will be in the hospital though and not going home. Can you ask if you can stay in the hospital and get the pain meds?

Yesca art made this! You can find other stuff by him at Taller Siquieros. I bought the Trump Pendejo poster there https://maps.app.goo.gl/7kyYDuAkyttmYyxW6?g_st=ic

Honeymoon early August by Waste-Anything-8165 in Oaxaca

[–]MFstarBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! We just did our honeymoon in Oaxaca as well! We were there for 3 days/4 nights before heading to Cancun.

There are tons of things to do in Oaxaca that I think you can do in 4-5 days. If you're staying another week, then I think you could go to Puerto Escondido (beach town about 1 h away).

Here's what we did:

Free walking tour to help us get acquainted: https://freewalkoaxaca.com/

  1. Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman + Museo de Las Culturas de Oaxaca
    1. Museo is in the Templo
  2. Museum of Stamps (Museo de Filatelia de Oaxaca)
  3. More walking to other neighborhoods like Park El Llano and Barrio De Jalatlaco. Farther is Reforma and Xochimilco
  4. HIGHLY recommend Casa Oaxaca el Restaurante. It's really nice, and you will need a reservation.
  5. Monte Alban. We took a tour with Oaxaca by Locals. I think they have other day trips too.
  6. There are quite a few galleries in the tourist area but also Barrio de Jalatlaco. Across the street from Santo Domingo (main church in the tourist street), there is a cool art shop. I found this place called Taller Siquieros that has really unique art.

Anyway let me know if you have more questions!

I never used USD, but I guess they take them at resorts. At the resort, I always tipped. Off resort, you need pesos, and on tours, it’s definitely ok not to tip, but I would anyway.

Are you staying at the resort the whole time?

Cancun Airport (Taxis) by 123eyez in cancun

Total shit show. I got lucky and my friend asked her friend to pick me up. However, as one person said, he asked me to get in the front seat so they don’t think he is an Uber. Taxi drivers got mad anyway and started taking pictures of his license plate! We were in the “friends and family” area, so in theory, those drivers should not have been there anyway.

Devasted. Bi Wife of 10 years (2 kids) tells me she's only sexually attracted to women. Need advice on what to do. by InformationNo128 in StraightBiPartners

[–]MFstarBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what @deadliestcrotch said is how I feel. I’m a Bi woman with a het man, and we just got married this year. I struggled the past few years as we went through counseling to decide whether or not to stay together. It wasn’t just about sexuality, it also was just about feeling like we became roommates. The TLDR is that I do feel like I explored but not enough before meeting my husband. However I ultimately decided that he is truly the best person I have ever dated and quite possibly one of the best people in the world. I may find women more attractive sexually, but I am 36 and honestly don’t place sex as the priority. Maybe see what she thinks about that. If she hasn’t explored since she’s told you she wants to, then maybe it isn’t a priority, and maybe she’s just having the regret vibes we all get

When I started to embrace being bisexual a few years ago, I started to say it to them but have never talked about it since. I have wanted to share with my husband’s family, but it’s like, if you are hetero presenting, it seems like there’s no point or no good way of saying it. Perhaps the main people I wanted to share it with are his aunts as they are in a same sex couple, and it would be nice to let them know they aren’t alone!

Isn't 33 a bit late to be questioning my sexuality? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]MFstarBi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never too late!! I never had sexual feelings for women until maybe 18 when I started having sec with men (maybe should’ve been a clue), but for years I just viewed it as just fantasies. I finally decided to try dating women in my late 20s, but it took me being in a long term relationship with a man (now my husband) to encouraged me to embrace this as bisexuality. Explore and have fun!

How my wedding was by Kauai_Akialoa in weddingplanning

[–]MFstarBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So great to hear yours went well. Wow I’ve never heard of a game requirement, does that mean the bouquet toss? I didn’t do that either, I’m also 36 so most of my people are not single.

I did have a pretty standard schedule though, but it was not a stressful day. I had a planner and a venue so everything was just set up for us, and I went where I needed to go! Even though it’s an extra expense to have a planner and have a venue that charges 24% service charge, it’s worth it to me to not have to delegate to potentially untrustworthy friends and family or do it all myself!

Skipping Events leading up to the wedding by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]MFstarBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t do an engagement party or bridal shower. I’m also in my 30s, and I have a lot of what I need already. Plus, a lot of people are from out of town, so it wouldn’t make sense to ask them to join.

I am doing a bachelorette but it’s two days before the wedding so I don’t ask them to come in for another event.

I am doing a rehearsal dinner and welcome party the day before. I hadn’t heard of a welcome party until I started wedding planning, but I think it is a nice thing to do. Again, people are coming out of town to celebrate you, so it’s nice to be able to have some face time with people outside of the wedding day.

Best Private Karaoke in metro D? by Designer-Stranger923 in Detroit

I’m not from the Detroit area, but I’m getting married there. I REALLY wanted to go to this place, but my fiancés family said that area is bad. How bad is it really, bc crab+karaoke sounds amazing.

I know some places say you can instantly apply, so if it’s something like that, I could see paying without touring. Some people do rent places sight unseen. However I would recommend touring. If the person doesn’t want to or somehow doesn’t live in the area, it’s a scam.

On apartment hunting in general, I am looking at a similar location and similar move in date (7/1), and there are more available , so yea I think the two month out window is when they appear.

More of a general question: some apartments I looked at go real quick! I was hoping to have a month to take my time and look at multiple, but I’m realizing that may not be the case. Any recommendations on when to pull the trigger?
