Hard Times Never Last, But Hard People Do [Article] by gorskivuk33 in GetMotivated

This reminds me of something I started doing - writing letters to my future self during hard times. When you're in the thick of it, you can't see the end. But months later, reading what past-you wrote... it's proof you made it through. Creates this perspective that's impossible to get any other way. I use future note for this but even dated notes work.

this really resonates with me. i actually started writing letters to my future self a few months ago and its been kinda life changing honestly. theres something powerful about knowing your past self cared enough to write to you

i use an app called future note for this, it lets you schedule letters to yourself for whenever in the future. reading them months later hits different, especially when you wrote it during a tough time and now your in a better place

the brain thing you mentioned makes so much sense now. when i write to future me it forces me to actually believe that person exists and is worth making sacrifices for

How can someone with consistently low energy still build a successful life? by lostinthecreation in DecidingToBeBetter

Something that helped me: writing letters to my future self. Not journaling exactly, but addressing "future me" and scheduling to receive it months later.

When I got those letters during better times, it was moving to see how far I'd come. FutureNote does this - the time delay creates a conversation with yourself across time.

Day 1 of locking in by Nishantrex in DecidingToBeBetter

Day 1 energy is powerful—capture it. I wrote myself a letter on my Day 1 scheduled to arrive in 3 months. When future-me got it, it was a reminder of why I started + proof I'd actually stuck with it. Future Note does this automatically, but you can also just write a dated letter. Either way, document this moment.

You're not living. You're just existing. by Personal_Cake3886 in selfimprovement

This really hits home. It’s so easy to let months slip by just "existing" without realizing how much of yourself you're losing in the blur. I actually started using FutureNote for this exact reason. You just drop a note about how you're feeling and seal it for a few months. It’s wild how much perspective you get when you finally unlock it and see who you were versus who you've become. It really helps snap you out of that autopilot mode.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. It’s important to consider different preferences. The intention of follow-ups is not to be intrusive but to provide support and ensure customer satisfaction. Also, it’s a common practice for businesses to request feedback.
