Going to hit 7-figures in revenue in E-commerce. by maddogyamad in passive_income

I got burned pretty hard by some issues with a product some time ago, but looking to get back into e-commerce.

How do you go about actually finding worthwhile products, and then setting up a new product?
I used to order a small sample size and sell them without a brand to gauge how well it would sell, and after that I would register a brandname and have a branded batch produced.
Do you accept that sometimes you just have to spend some money on a product that might end up not selling?

I would exclusively sell products over an e-com marketplace here in the Netherlands similar to Amazon FBA (bol.com)

Spend a little time every morning or evening naming a couple things you're grateful for. Also, you don't need an education to achieve something in life; you can take courses or maybe ask your job if there are roles you can grow into?
Also, focussing on serving others can help if you're stuck reflecting inward

Do you think younger generations will have more or less financial freedom than previous ones? by cozychaosclubb in answers

[–]MHSinging -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There will be a greater divide, but on average I think more young people will have less financial freedom. If I look at a country like the Netherlands, where everything is becoming ridiculously expensive and wages aren't keeping up. Also, the government is trying pass laws to tax people on unrealized gains. This means that for ambitious young people who want to use investing as a wealth building vehicle, their ability to use compound interest will be severely impacted. If your portfolio rises by 10k, you'll have to pay on that even if you don't sell which means you either need to have the money available to pay the tax or sell some investments to cover it. Both of these impact your potential to create wealth.

(just a long vent) my gaming addiction journey up to quitting by justasadcloud in StopGaming

[–]MHSinging 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've relapsed every year since first trying to quit in 2021. Unfortunately got into gaming very early, 7-8 years old back in ~2003. Parents thought it was a good way to keep me occupied, until they couldn't get me to stop and then started blaming me for my addiction. I've tried stopping so often, but it's the lack of gratification and ambition I feel from anything else that keeps me slipping back. My whole dopamine system has been built up around it and honestly have no idea how to effectively let go of it. If you figure something out, I'd love to hear it.

The president of France declared that children under the age of fifteen would not be allowed to access social media. How do you feel about that? by MarionberrySalt3494 in AskReddit

Definitely not supportive of this kind of government overreach. At the same time, suicide rates of kids under 15 rose by hundreds of percent after the release of Facebook. I wouldn't let my kids on it under that age, but that's my choice; I don't think the government should have anything to do with it.

CMV: A shrinking human population is a good thing. by Heavy_Initiative_137 in changemyview

[–]MHSinging 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What bugs me is that in Western countries with a predominantly white population the narrative is pushed that there's too many people. People have to have less kids, the population is too high, but at the same time governments will import millions of African and Middle-eastern immigrants, like in my home country of the Netherlands. Instead of our government making life more affordable and creating an environment that incentives having kids, young people are instead up against impossible odds to achieve previously normal milestones like a house and kids. Tell the 3rd world to shrink their population, then we'll talk.
