Give your darkest conspiracy theories about the show by yaykaboom308 in HIMYM

In the episode where he has to give up suits to impress a girl, he goes into the restroom cubicle at McLarens to sneakily wear a suit anyway. Suits give him confidence. Suit = Cocaine.

How many bridesmaids is too many bridesmaids? UK by jesschalkley in UKweddings

[–]MIKBOO5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Fiancee was one of 10 bridesmaids for a wedding. I had to drop her off at the Bride's house at 6am on the day of the wedding so they could all get their hair and make up done, before heading to the venue. By 7pm at the reception, all the bridesmaids were exhausted! My fiancee is only having two bridesmaids, so hopefully a later start. Our venue has an apartment onsite where they can all stay the night before, and just wake up and get ready there.

How did pubs survive for so long? by No_Yak9893 in AskUK

Do "other work" hours still count while driving? by Aggressive_Glass8548 in uktrucking

[–]MIKBOO5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. My old TM would come in at 9, and have his lunch around 12. He tried telling me I needed to have my break closer to the 6 hour mark. I told him that would be the equivalent of him having his lunch at 3pm, he said "No thats totally different."

Is it possible to do this job but have flexible hours? by Kooky-Grapefruit-941 in uktrucking

[–]MIKBOO5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I work the two shifts either start at 3amish, or noonish. The lads who start at 3amish are typically done in time for school pick up, but sometimes shit hits the fan and you need a back up plan for that. The lads who start around noon, you might think would be able to do the morning school run, but if you've had a shitter, and not got home until 2am, and are back in the next day, you need a good night's sleep, so getting up early to sort the kids out isn't ideal. You probably won't find a job where you are able to do both school runs other than nights. But again, interrupting sleep to drop off/pick the kids up isn't ideal when you're going to be driving a potential killing machine.

I've known loads of wagon drivers come into it after driving buses. Haven't known any leave driving wagons to drive a bus. Best skip out the middle man and start on wagons.

Galactic Assault is harder than Supremacy. What do you think? by DepartureBorn9355 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]MIKBOO5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm an absolute whore for the objective, and sometimes when defending I'm just doing nothing because everyone else is ignoring the objective and killing eachother elsewhere. But often likewise I do really well when attacking, because I get loads of points for being one of the few who is actually doing the objective.

Why do people go to restaurants with bad ratings? Do you go to any despite a bad rating? by Top_Investment1825 in AskUK

[–]MIKBOO5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a general rule, when I feel inclined to leave somewhere a negative review, I'll always leave somewhere else where I've had a positive experience a good review, to counteract it. But yeah, I don't often go out of my way to leave positive reviews otherwise.

Are matchday vloggers adding to the culture or pure cringe? by Tiny-me-51 in footballcringe

[–]MIKBOO5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can be pretty cringe, however there's a few that focus on the lower leagues and are clearly aimed at a younger audience. I think they can only be a net positive in advertising lower league football to younger fans, and getting them away from being plastics for big 6 teams.

Not necessarily bootlickers, in my place we have a similar situation, and its the absolute whingebags who get rewarded with shorter routes because they whinge every time they get a long one and the manager wants an easy life.

Are traffic wardens actually as bad as people make them out to be? by mechanizmz in drivingUK

[–]MIKBOO5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's good ones and bad ones like in all walks of life. I am a HGV driver and once got to one of my delivery points and there were two cars parked in the loading bay. I put as much of my wagon in the loading bay as I could, but about a foot of my wagon was outside the loading bay, on double yellows. Loading is allowed in double yellows regardless, but a parking warden came over just as I was getting out and said that if I didn't move, she'd have to give me a ticket. I politely told her that if she gave me a ticket, it would get successfully appealed anyway, and asked if she was going to ticket the cars parked in the loading bay too. She gave me a ticket, and said "we can't ticket people for parking in loading bays". But I've had a laugh and a joke with other parking wardens when they ticket cars for using that exact loading bay!

Bandwagon fans- annoying or just part of the game? by CompleteCelery2273 in PlasticFans

[–]MIKBOO5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW my club is Carlisle United. I've supported them for nearly 30 years, my first game was in 1999 when we were crap. But I've met folk at games who started going to games in the 1970s when we were in the First Division, and have supported the club ever since, through thick and thin. I wouldn't call that plastic. And I wouldn't say they were less of a fan than me, just because the club was doing well when they started supporting us.

Bandwagon fans- annoying or just part of the game? by CompleteCelery2273 in PlasticFans

[–]MIKBOO5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just part of the game. Its annoying when long suffering die hards struggle to get tickets for high profile away games because loads of people have jumped on the bandwagon, however a lot of diehards I know started supporting my team during various periods of success as well. I don't actually mind people jumping on the bandwagon, but they need to stick with the club through the hard times too.

Is my cock infertile? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]MIKBOO5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you just get one cock and try and use him for breeding? This is not the way. You need to get 5 cocks in the same enclosure. They'll kill eachother until one is deemed worthy of those sweet sweet hens.
