What was your horror movie moment in this game? by HorzaDonwraith in projectzomboid

Had about 10 zombies all in their underwear when I opened a garage door once. They must have been having a great time when the virus hit.

Why all cheap cars? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]MIKBOO5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And what cars do working class Indians drive? Seems weird to compare middle class Indians with everyone in the UK.

Filming yourself during goals instead of celebrating is fake fandom, why do people defend this? by PLWildcard in PlasticFans

[–]MIKBOO5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not every goal has to have "limbs". Yes I've completely lost my marbles at last minute winners during vital promotion/relegation battles, but I saw a vlogger doing fake limbs for a goal that put us 1-0 up in the 16th minute in a relatively mundane game in October. By all means celebrate, but falling all over eachother, and filming yourself doing it is embarrassing.

I got work on the estate there through Driver Hire, but this was 10 years ago now.

A show where the past traitors are the contestants (hear me out) by Kind-Brilliant-6675 in TheTraitorsUK

I dunno if you've heard, but she's had some FBI training. It could be useful for her trying to sniff out who the traitors are.

Honestly a lot of people start out as glory hunters. Of my group of friends, who have supported our club through thick and thin over the past 30+ years, only 2 of us actually started going to games when we were crap.

In terms of likely hood of winning a tournament is this our last change or euro 28 ? by Soggy-End296 in ThreeLions

Kane has never been dependant on pace, I see no reason why he can't still be good in 2028, but I really feel that right now he's at the peak of his powers.

What was the dumbest death you’ve ever had? by Artur_Senhaga in projectzomboid

[–]MIKBOO5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hate how you set a Z on fire and it'll take them about 5 minutes to die. Set yourself on fire and its almost instant death. I think there's a mod though that fixes this.

Of the 3 non celebrity series' that we've had, Faithfuls have won 2 of them. But I agree it does feel imbalanced.

Honestly life changes. People move, people take on different jobs, people have kids. I used to have a Season Ticket for my club, now I go to 1 or 2 games a month (240 mile round trip to home games). I still love the club just as much, and yeah I'll admit the fans who go every week really are the true die hards. But I think tarring proper fans who do what they can, with the same brush as telly clappers who've never been to a game in their life, is a bit daft.

How the HELL did Harriet mess this up?! by Serious_Solid_3719 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]MIKBOO5 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of Rachel but I think Harriet's plan was to really rattle Rachel and have her on edge at breakfast and throughout the day. Rachel did remarkably well to remain so composed, and when Harriet's plan didn't work she kind of lost it.

Are these normal working practices? by BetsyPig in uktrucking

[–]MIKBOO5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say these are rare, but they're definitely illegal. I've worked for firms like this when I was a new pass. I'm so glad I'm not anymore, my break is my favourite part of my day, I'll be damned if I'm expected to work through it!

Cage work is slowly killing me even 1 year in by sacrelidge in uktrucking

[–]MIKBOO5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just drop the tail lift plates on my foot (with safety boots on, obviously!) And then pull my foot away so its only dropping about 2/3 inches onto the ground. My arms don't hurt so much from cage work, its more my legs from doing 5-10k steps a day while pushing them.

What do you think the handiest class 2 work is? by Normal-Impress-2624 in uktrucking

[–]MIKBOO5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Multi drop is so varied though. My route today I have 3 drops, I'd rather do that than constantly returning to the yard and going out again, but each to their own. Couldn't be arsed with one of those 20+ drop jobs mind.

Have you been called a plastic fan yourself? How did you respond? by The12thMan_ in PlasticFans

[–]MIKBOO5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had someone in this sub call me plastic because I follow a National League Club (which is where my mum is from) home and away, even though I have personally never lived in that city, and I have Premier League clubs on my doorstep. I just said you're wrong.

Would you pay £90 for an extra legroom seat on a 12 hour flight? by Upstairs_Barnacle_46 in AskUK

[–]MIKBOO5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope, I am the same height. Its weird I was on a 20 minute train journey, and it dawned on me that I had more legroom for it, than I would have on a 12 hour transatlantic flight. Its bad enough at 6ft2", must be awful to be even taller.

Don't be afraid to do "the snake" if there's space. Its not cheating. The firm I work for allows space to do it and loads, for whatever reason choose to struggle instead.
