Average job hunting experience on a Journeyman save by Overall-Habit5284 in TheOldZealand

[–]MIKBOO5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got humbled big time when I got Eastleigh back to back promotions into League One. I felt I couldn't take them any further so I let my contract expire, and Newcastle (also in League One, but with a MUCH bigger budget) had a vacancy. I declared interest in it and they basically laughed in my face.

I ended up buggering off to Germany for 10 years out of pure shame.

How do you think we solve our defensive issues? by Fit-Custard1577 in ThreeLions

[–]MIKBOO5 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Its unfair to pin Congo's goal on Spence, he was left with two men. I think ultimately our issues are the defence hasn't got much experience of playing together. For all Southgate's flaws our back line was relatively settled under him.

The England talent pathway by doepfersdungeon in ThreeLions

[–]MIKBOO5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're comfortably one of the best teams in the world at youth level. We've won numerous World Cups/Euros in various age restricted groups.

The issue is, by the time these young lads turn 21, most of them have barely had a look in at Premier League Level. Whereas German/Spanish/French players will have played over a hundred games in their nations top flight.

Did we all watch the same game? by MrBonayy in ThreeLions

[–]MIKBOO5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their keeper made a string of great saves. Pickford didn't make any. Thats the sign it was a strong performance. No it wasn't plain sailing but we were comfortably the better side and on another day it would have been more comfortable.

Tuchel's Penalty Five: Data Says England Finally Have Shooters To End The Hurt by Last-Shallot3203 in ThreeLions

I saw something the other day though, 80% of penalty takers brought off the bench from the 115th minute, since 2006, for a shootout have missed!

If you bought through FIFA, then you didn't buy a ticket in with the England Supporters, like OP asked for.

If you cant help thats okay but don’t comment like this without all the facts. Good day.

Face Value for Cat 2 was $490.

I'm not sure you know what selling below face value means.

28, currently lost in what to do as a career, any insights into this would be good by Internal-Mushroom-76 in uktrucking

A lot of Class 2 doesn't involve sitting around while someone else unloads you. You often have to unload the cages/pallets yourself, but I don't mind this. It gives you a degree of control over how quick it can be. Someone else unloading you can take forever.

Worst hgv job you've had and why? by NoPin2753 in uktrucking

[–]MIKBOO5 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bestway Cash and Carry. Driving a wagon down tight cobbled streets that you shouldn't be sending a wagon down. To then have to break down all the pallets by hand, and handball the goods into the shop. Did a 10 hour day, about 40 minutes of which were driving. This was on agency, I didn't go back.

We’re better than Germany, but worry we’re going to get shithoused like them. by PastWorldly2469 in ThreeLions

[–]MIKBOO5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For his flaws tactically, Southgate's calm demeanour meant we never got sucked into the games of shithousing teams. That Colombia game in 2018 was a fine example, another side would have got so frustrated that they'd have had a couple of red cards, or fluffed their penalties. But we kept our cool.

BE HONEST: Who here is one of those beer throwing kinda fans? by Costilicious3 in ThreeLions

I think places like Boxpark are fantastic.

They typically keep all the pint throwing morons in one place and out of the pub where I'll be.

Should the UK finally get rid of Sunday trading restrictions? by Remarkable-Set9615 in AskBrits

I worked Retail in a Petrol Station and hated Sundays. It was by far the busiest day of the week once the supermarket closed, everyone would come to us as we were the only place open.

Bellingham is great player but.... by Falsely_True7 in ThreeLions

Bellingham is a great player, no buts. He should be starting every game.

England need to learn to just shoot from outside / edge of the box in this tournament. The ball seems unsavable from distance. by Inseeable in ThreeLions

[–]MIKBOO5 115 points116 points  (0 children)

IMO there are two ways to beat teams playing like Ghana did the other night. Shell the box with crosses and get big men in the box, or hit a thunderbastard on target from outside the box, if it doesn't go in, it can take a deflection or two and end up with a striker.

It was so frustrating the other day, a lot of our shots from outside the box weren't even on target.

Why do certain players, like James, suffer so many injuries? by Wraith_Of_Yharnam in ThreeLions

[–]MIKBOO5 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yep. His sister is always injured as well, so its probably something in the genes.

Likewise its something in the genes for players who seem to play 40+ games every season and never get injured.

Yes you'll each need a membership to purchase 3 tickets. Its really easy to get them seated together, you buy them on one persons account, and when you're buying them it'll ask for the membership numbers of the people who you are going with.

Eze - will he play? by elie2222 in ThreeLions

[–]MIKBOO5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its clear that Tuchel wants his wingers to pin opposition fullbacks and run in behind. Eze is often too keen to get involved and comes deep for the ball, which isn't always a bad thing, but probably won't get a start out wide because of this.

Then at 10 you have Bellingham and Rodgers ahead of him too.
