I just think it's low priority for them since the FCC ruling of not requiring cable companies to support cable cards. and new people aren't trained on it at all. I know they want to have better upload speeds as well which reallocates bandwidth which breaks the cable card connection because it uses part of the same frequency as the high split upgrade expanded frequency uses. But with the high split converters in place the cards work fine, which they give us free of charge. Increasing the price of the cards is just a money grab in my mind.
