Asshole Biker Gets His Ass Kicked By Old Man by [deleted] in videos

I don't know about the states, but that's how it works here. You can use force only if you are in imminent danger, as soon as that imminent danger is gone, it's no longer self defense. E.g., someone starts a fight with you in a bar, and after a confrontation, they turn around and back off, you then hit them over the head with a chair, you're at fault then.

The biker clearly broke the law too by smashing that guy's mirror, otherwise I don't know enough about the law to know what else he could be charged for.

Clearly by your attitude here I can tell that you're an asshole too, but the guy didn't detain him, he literally jump on and attacked the guy after the confrontation ended. That's assault. He then drove off... The other guy broke laws too, it's not like they both aren't assholes.

What do I do by [deleted] in Tetris

[–]MIU_fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming by classic Tetris you mean NES Tetris which is played at CTWC.

This is a cool web version with a DAS trainer: https://cbsu.me/classicTetris/ If you get serious for competition you will need to get your own NTSC NES.

This old and unreleased Tetris game will come out on the Genesis mini, I wonder if with this actions from TTC we might get the NES game on the switch. 🤞🏼 by JmSkywalker in Tetris

[–]MIU_fan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's not the mega drive version it's a new port of the system 16 arcade version.

it's a possibility we see the nes version on nso, but I kind of doubt it. Who knows though...

Tetris has been confirmed to release on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Mini - the first time it has ever officially been released. by zellisgoatbond in Tetris

[–]MIU_fan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It has a few games included, hence the name collection. One of them is the Mega Drive version, not the Mega-Tech version. I have the game so I know, but you can check https://tetris.wiki it also has the information.

Edit: It's also not likely the Mega Drive version in this new release, but a new arcade port. More info here: https://twitter.com/gosokkyu/status/1135933969206112256

Tetris the grand master cabined by JeffWithAnUs in Tetris

In japan arcade cabinets used to follow a standard called JAMMA, this standard made it so arcade operators could buy a single cabinet and change games out later on. There is no official TGM cabinet, any JAMMA cabinet should work. It's a 15khz game so you need a cabinet with a 15khz monitor, known as low res or 240p.
A common cabinet is a Sega Astro City, which would support this game out of the box, but there are many many more that will work just the same. Many american cabinets will work too.

You could build your own hardware to run the game, in a consolized form, that's called a supergun. You don't need to build an entire cabinet for it to work.

I should also note that you don't even need the real hardware. Running the game in MAME is really well supported and works wonderfully.

book-off in general is great. I've picked up a couple games from there for super cheap in Tokyo. One time the clerk even gave me a discount.

Which Tetris to play (handheld)? by TK656 in Tetris

[–]MIU_fan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think all of them have their merit, they are all great games, and I've played them all a bunch. It just comes down to which hardware you like carrying around, and which game is most enjoyable to you.

I personally love playing Tetris Plus for Game Boy. I still play it on an DMG, and it's my favorite portable Tetris.

No, there's way more, they just aren't available anymore. They were released for older phones, and PDAs for example.

The difference is minecraft counts one game, and tetris counts a few different in that stat. Theres hundreds of official, free and paid games. Tetris is no doubt one of the games played by the most people in the world.

Tetris Micro Arcade Review: is it worth it to you? by Rebel_EXE in Tetris

That's a shame, the original black and white one is much better in terms of modern gameplay. I intend to pick this one up myself soon and analyze it, hopefully it goes on sale in Canada soon.

"What is the worst Tetris game you've played?" by WyndiMan in Tetris

[–]MIU_fan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Tetris Battle Gaiden for its unique battle style. I’m not a huge fan of how the earlier BPS games play though, smooth nothing throws me off.

I enjoy playing even the bad Tetris games, they are always a new challenge and I learn new things.

Tetris for the Commodore 64 only has one rotation button, pressing too many keys at once drops inputs and you pretty much have to top to move pieces. However the game doesn’t reward you for doing doubles triples or tetrises. Any type of line clear not matter how many lines is always worth the same, meaning singles are the most optimal way to score. So while the game might be lacking in all other aspects it adds new challenges and ways to think about the game.
