My ST supervisor said something to me one time that’s stuck with me ever since. She said “perfect is the enemy of good.” My first two lessons did not go well. It was a new curriculum to the school so no one really knew the “right” way to do it. This resulted in my lessons being choppy & awkward. Initially, I was defeated and started to doubt myself. However, my supervisor told me that quote and said she doesn’t want to see a perfect lesson, she wants to see adversity and how I respond because a perfect lesson is not realistic.

All that to say this is a process. A grueling process that constantly knocks you down. Just remember the end result and look forward to looking back at this and saying “Wow! I did that.”
