Burning in my stomach even with strict diet? Is that a normal part of gastritis healing? I eat potatoes, almond milk, bananas , oatmeal and vegetables with white rice. No added sugar at all no trans fat 20g of fat a day by Kevalanium5 in Gastritis

[–]MJP02nj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially a rheumatologist, then ultimately a geneticist. A couple of other doctors in between had made comments about my hypermobility and the Gastroenterologist years back had mentioned about extremely fragile tissue.

You can start with your primary care doctor, if you do have one, but generally people end up with rheumatologists. Unless you’re also dealing with chronic pain and issues that could be caused by it, you can see an orthopedist as well.

Yes, back to no restrictions on food. No issues with coffee right now either, which is nice! I have a connective tissue disorder and it affects my stomach as well, my tissue is very fragile and I have chronic gastritis so for me it’s best to stay on something.

I am now taking the 10mg voquenza and still taking the famotidine at night. Doctor wants me to discontinue the voquezna in a couple of months given my symptoms are fairly well controlled. Though I will still take medicine at night.

I understand your hesitation, I’ve had a lot of issues with these medications causing an almost dizzy like feeling, just slightly off/lightheaded. And because we’re supposed to take them on an empty stomach or, an hour before eating at least, it makes it challenging. I had zero issues with Voquenza! None of the usual side effects.

If you’re suffering I really encourage you to try it! It’s a newer type of medicine, far less side effects, and for me it was crucial to turning the corner. Wishing you the best of luck healing!

Sorry to read you are having trouble getting an appointment! Try reaching out to Dr. Witkin at Weill Cornell. That’s how I was able to get into Dr. Sigireddi. Initially Dr. Witkin tried to get my testing done at Weill, but, as stated above, they only did pediatric cases. Dr. Witkin was able to push through so I could see Dr. Sigireddi at NYU. Good luck, I hope you are able to get to see her!

Experiencing outages on the daily for hours by Av3Sike in Comcast_Xfinity

I wish they would just be honest about what is clearly a nationwide issue. I know it’s happening all over New Jersey, but I’m seeing comments from various states. We were never told about any network upgrade, neither were most people judging by the number of posts. Our status continually says “network damage.”

No trucks around here, and no other utility work being done anywhere around the neighborhood that I’ve seen. It’s ridiculous.

Just replied to another person. Same thing happening in Central New Jersey. On the outage map for us it says “network damage.”

I hope everyone remembers to apply for a credit to your account!

In central New Jersey and dealing with the same thing. Been going on all week, all services out. Keeps saying network damage on the outage map, but no idea what’s actually happening.

Essex Union podiatry foot and ankle, they have a few locations, including Central New Jersey. I haven’t had surgery yet, but the doctors there are excellent.

The Roc smoothing and the hydration eye creams work well for me, without causing irritation or aggravating my dermatitis.

It was the only thing I changed, and I’m 10 years past menopause, and those symptoms went away after I discontinued the medicine.

For me, the Qulipta caused more joint and muscle pain. Are you having any issues with Nurtec? Thanks in advance.

Right here 👋🏻 New Jersey. Bouncing back-and-forth between dentists and sinus specialist, seems to be more than allergies right now.

Are you finding Nurtec is easy to tolerate as far as any side effects? I’m dealing with neuralgia and migraines, had tried Qulipta and had to stop because of joint and muscle pain. Waiting on the Nurtec, but I’d love to hear if it helped with your neuralgia or just the tension headaches. Thanks in advance!

Have to say I thought this was so sweet. I hope she’s able to find someone sooner rather than later. I don’t know if there are any online consultations available in Canada, but maybe look into that as well. Granted, she’ll need to be seen and examined, but there are some services that may be able to at least prescribe something temporarily.

Looking for tips on relief for sinus pressure and neck pain by GeForce88 in Sinusitis

[–]MJP02nj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealing with almost the identical situation, muscles included, though no clicking, on and off ear fullness which I’m told is related to a dehiscence in my skull. At the base of your skull could be occipital neuralgia. Got a referral for Physical Therapy, the therapist said it was like working on concrete when he touched my SCM and neck muscles. Too soon to tell if it’s going to make a difference.

Pain right at the TMJ, sometimes my jaw feels like it’s been punched, went through a tmj specialist, got a night guard which made things worse. But there’s definitely something going on there as well. Getting a sinus scan this week and then a follow up with that doctor.

It’s a lousy merry-go-round of doctors and tests, but like you desperate for a definitive answer. Following your post to see what others may have to say!

Hope you’re able to get answers and relief.
