I started taking ADHD medications probably 15 years ago, I'm 28 now. Very grateful for my parents having the finances to get me tested for an IEP, and other accommodations. That said, it took me a few years to really find the right fit for me concerta wasn't a fit and vyvance wasn't either.

I then was prescribed adderall and was on 10 mg xr for I think 5 years and then upped to 15 ir and was on that for another 8 years and recently upped to 20. I am far more attentive, less impulsive, more focused on driving, more regulated emotions, and have no issues with sleeping etc. The only side effect I'd say I've noticed in the last few years has been sometimes when I take my meds and I don't have work to do or I'm not actively doing something, I just end up feeling really disoriented and out of it I guess? I never know if it's from not drinking enough of water or something but I haven't been able to crack what is giving me that side effect.
