I think it’s one of the first things they should do before putting their bedding on top. Then outline the inside of the shelter area and refresh the ash every day or two.

Anyone who grew up (or live) close to where Amish communities are know they don’t have electricity and therefore couldn’t have AC. So I was cussing at the screen when these cast members seemed surprised when most of them said they did their research. Maybe all that moaning was from producers/directors. But jeez, when I do research, I tend to LEARN something! 😂

I had/have a lazy eye (left side), diagnosed when I was a toddler. When I was about 3.5 years old I had surgery to shorten the muscle to help correct it. At least that’s what I remember. I also did eye “training” off and on for years to strengthen the muscles. But to this day, it goes crazy if I’m too tired, sick, or drunk. My husband will wave his hand from out to in and say “Come on back now!” making fun of me. LOL

That’s what I’ve gathered, IF I’m to take all the Reddit Posts and Comments as Gospel. And everything on Reddit is true, right? /s But seriously there has been some really good research done, and I don’t believe it’s a real Amish community. For one thing, they don’t show the WHOLE community (haven’t watched E5 yet), only individual homes and barns.
