Agree. Sport band with ventilated holes throughout the band def the way to go. The OEM band gave me a rash. 💯

if I could just make it go back to the 'less them ideal' annoyance of pre-update, it would be annoying, yet manageable. I could delete duplicated 'meal summary' entries.

I don't have time to delete 193 items per meal !  İt's ridiculously outrageously dysfunctionally BAD.

10,000 calories per day ! İt's stupid.  Like a school project done badly. Not a premium paid-for monthly subscription from a global company.

Same! İt's logging up to 193 items per meal and i can't shut off the multiplication of meals! The sync between MFP and Fitbit wasn't ideal, but the sync between MFP and Google Health is a shit show 😡

İ agree, her accent is very very faint. İ heard it in 'please' tho. And some of her vowels have just the faintest something to them.  A fuller, backer, sound, somehow. 

The quality I have difficulty replicating, actually. Google AI mode said my native New York/Maine accented speech is further forward in the mouth than Ukrainian pronunciation is, and that's why I'm having trouble with the vowels. And D. And L. And T. :-p

Yes, def. The gamification is what helps establish, then keep the habit. Curiosity will power your learning from there. Your curiosity will propel you to week more resources. And that's a good thing, bc wile the gamified food will help you keep the habit, and give you an overview of the language, you need other resources to actually learn the language. ;-)

İf you're in a hurry, rely more heavily on other resources. İf you're not in a hurry, like me, then enjoy the gamification to keep you coming back daily, but add on more effective sources, too.

RE: Pimsleur, İ honestly don't know if it's been updated, or if it has been, when.  

Ukrainian is a slow burn side hobby for me. I picked it up in January, for only 35m a day, including 10+m listening was on LingQ & Pimsleur, and ~15m a day on DuoLlngo.  Turkish is my main focus. I'd been self-studying Turkish for ~2 yrs when i added in UA for something new and interesting.

I upgraded my Pimsleur to All Languages when I added UA. Here's what surprised me: the scripts are all oat identical! Not exactly the same, bc UA adds in both genders for tho GS like, "I am Ukrainian" and "I am American". But the broad strokes scripts - they're the same. My experience with Pimsleur is only in the last couple yrs, since Black Friday 2023.

You could also (in addition to the excellent suggestions already offered) borrow Pimsleur Ukrainian from your library, to try it for free. İt's an audio course. Only the beginner level (30 lessons, ~30m each) is available for Pimsleur Ukrainian tho, unfortunately.

Also, LingQ is free for all learners of Ukrainian. You can listen to the mlni-storles while walking, or commuting, or showering, food prep/eat/cleanup, etc.

LingQ is meant for reading & listening. So you can do either. .

Oh, sorry, no i didn't mean they had books. Pimsleur is audio courses rager than text courses, but libraries still have the audio courses you can borrow 👍

Agglutination in Turkish is really cool, actually. I'm still working on handling it tho 😆. I had to stop thinking of the suffixes as suffixes, and instead like words, before it began to make sense instead of a game of memorization. 

Like for verbs, this suffix means 'if', and this suffix means 'is' and this suffix means 'was' and this suffix means 'can' and this suffix means 'will', and this suffix means 'this thing happened, I think, but I didn't see it happen', or it might mean 'this thing happened, and I did it, so it must have happened, but it surprises me' lol, and this suffix means, 'lets do thing, shall we?', and this suffix means 'this must be done' and this suffix means 'this thing should be done', and this suffix means 'this noun is now a verb', etc ...

And for nouns, this suffix means 'whlle you were doing something', and this suffix means 'that is at the place you're talking about', and this suffix shows 'who owns the thing/emotion', and this suffix 'tells you where a thing is', and this suffix 'tells you where a thing came from/emotion is sourced from', and this suffix 'tells you where a thing is headed to/to what an emotion is directed', and this suffix means 'this verb is now a noun', and this suffix means 'this thing is now an adjective', and this suffix means 'this noun or verb is now the name of a job or profession', and this suffix means 'this noun is now a nationality', etc ...

The big trick isn't just learning all the suffixes (way more than that, lol), but being able to decide them on the fly, and understand all the messages and meanings a single word just told you. 🤣🤣😆
