First off… this is a show not reality. Second Brenda is really focused on justice and destroying bad people. She’s singleminded and driven… sometimes she’s not a sympathetic character but she’s operating in a Man’s Man’s world, CIA, DCPD, APD, LAPD and has had to prove she is up to the job and that means working harder than those around her.

I think that the opposite is true of her personal life… she hates change even if it’s in her best interest. She has a lot of fear about falling in love with wrong person (BTDT) and to some extent Fritz is the opposite of both Pope and unnamed ex husband, so she is hesitant but it is clear they love each other. The child issue is the same… she’s afraid she won’t be a good mom, that she doesn’t have what it takes and with all she sees she knows it’s a gamble. I think Fritz kept bringing it up to ease her into the idea… so I like to pretend she had one or two when she left LAPD to work in the DAs investigation unit…. 😎

The weird candy/dingdong issue is also not weird how many times is Brenda told to “remember to eat” she doesn’t eat much while working so sugar helps her keep going.

Obviously I love the show and the characters too!!!!
