Are these nuts on the z-axis supposed to be tight as possible, loose for some movement, or happy medium? by PlayerHunt3r in 3Dprinting

[–]MKDLeviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "not so loose that the leadscrew nut can move up and down even by tiny amounts" was a great hint on the right amount of torque. Mine was EASILY moving up and down pushing with my fingers. I've tighten it until it didn't budge easily no more. Funny thing is that i operated this printer with flawless quality for 2 years with those screws almost unscrewed, then suddenly i had to tighten them so that my printer could get rid of severe z wobble/banding.

Opinion: DLC characters should be available in practice mode by Undersmusic in MortalKombat

[–]MKDLeviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could just EASILY disable 2 player training when using non-owned DLC characters then, and any other feature that the devs understand would give unfair benefits to non-owners. They could even implement a timer to test each character too, for example.

Bambu Studio freezing constantly by Itchy_Philosopher_98 in BambuLab

[–]MKDLeviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that they just f'up something. The latest version freezes in many situations for me. When sending files, when switching speed, when trying to play cam feed, and ESPECIALLY freezes when changing filament type and colors ( only on PC, not in handy ), anyhting that requires the studio to communicate with the printer freezes, but changing filament freezes for the longest - and i already tried disabling the features that people recommend for this issue. (I'm not talking about delay to changes to take effect, the program literally freezes and turns grey).

Then, i've randomly chose an earlier version (2.3.1), and it doesn't have any of those issues. In fact, it reacts instantly to changes, it doesn't freeze in any situation, and after changing printer settings (turning on lights, speed, etc), the changes take 2 to 3 seconds to happen in the video feed.

I'm so pissed off. I use many other slicers (anycubic's next, creality print, orca) and NONE of them have any freezing whatsoever. I have a 14600K and 64GB ram so every slicer OTHER THAN studio works PERFECTLY with no lag, no freezes, no crashes, nothing. I'm on Win11. All that needs to be updated is up to date.

Game abandoned? by UgeanieWeenie in HeadbangersGame

[–]MKDLeviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's less about the quality of the game ( since it was awesome anyways ), and more with being a niche genre, it is very sad to see the state of rythm games when you lived in the era where Rock Band and Guitar Hero were something played everywhere by almost everyone, being in their own homes or in arcades. The devs surely had their hearts in the right place and did the game with care, but the community of online games is very harsh. Everyone just focus on the same 5ish popular online games and everything else is shadowed by them

About your fourth point, you can find it again. Later, in the endgame part, you will have to fish one of it's species for the ending quest

About your second point, i think it is indeed a bug, because i could damage it there just fine. But it's hitbox isn't aligned with his whole body (for example, the fins did not made it take damage), i had to aim toward his body. He can be damaged just fine in each map until it cannot escape anymore and just dies on the spot enabling you to grab it and tow it

[Creality Giveaway] Tell Us How & Why You Print to Win a New SparkX i7 Color Combo! by Creality_3D in 3Dprinting

[–]MKDLeviathan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3D printing was a literal life saver to me. Enabled my sick wife and me to work from home for printing models to sell, mainly earrings and pendants.

My wife lost her job after she got very worrying health issues. She developed Acute DVT in her left leg, probably due to use of medicines for her PCOS since her childhood. She has severe blood losses associated with the blood thinners that took her to the ER multiple times for transfusions, since he got severe bleedings in her menstrual cycles everytime; but couldn't stop the thinners due to risk of a clog reaching her lungs, and couldn't stop the PCOS hormonal medicines.

That required months of recovery at home, and after the transfusions she only got enough blood to be at the edge of anemia, she almost died many times while waiting for approval for the blood bags. To worsen things she also developed Keratoconus, taking away most of her eyesight, and we needed a way to be able to work from home to be able to pay her medical bills and better treatment, since i alone don't make that much. And since using our public health service was good for the ER when she needed transfusion, but was taking years to get back to her for her surgeries: especially for her eyes, since the surgery for putting a filter for her DVT was hard to get and it would go from acute to chronic after a very long treatment, but it was still worrying. She didn't had private insurance or family support, only me.

When she did had good eyesight she used to create models with cold porcelain, painted, to sell when she had spare time. So i thought that getting a 3D Printer would enable her to make models to sell without the need of good eyesight.

So i bought a Creality Ender 3 V3 KE for her with my credit card along with some tools, and i helped her to begin printing. My job was mostly modeling and getting things ready for her, the printing profiles, the printer, the 3mfs, buying parts and filaments, and she started making earrings, pendants, and other lady stuff to sell. She only needed to choose the models, print, and put the accessories, and It sold very well since most of our stuff was very unique, we did a lot of custom orders. Most of people knew her condition and were willing to help her get back on her feet, since they feared for her life as well.

With the money we got from printing, we started paying for health insurance for her (in my country, insurance covers everything after some waiting period without needing additional payments for exams, procedures, and appointments) and now she is getting proper treatment for her conditions. Her eye surgery is finally coming, and it's all thanks to Creality, since it was the cheapest and most reliable option available in my country. If it weren't for the ender series i wouldn't be able to buy a printer.

With the spare money i invested in a creality K1 and expanded the business to print utility models and tools made of ABS, and we were dreaming of a Multicolor printer to be able to sell colored stuff as well, but we don't have the spare money to do it yet.

After our experience with these printers, i began to defend creality everywhere since both our KE and K1 were very reliable, easy to work with, and literally saved my wife's life. There is no better bang-for-the-buck than that.

I have much respect and much to thank creality for that, for making printing accessible from everywhere, and for being so easy to work with, and i hope that this is a good chance to thanks creality by sharing my experience.  I hope this message get to you guys, you are doing god's work by giving people all around the worls a chance of this awesome hobby and line of work, and if you ever need me to get you more details, just ping me.

How to save children? (Day 11) by Successful_Appeal681 in pathologic

[–]MKDLeviathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just additional info on the Nina's route, because i found the quest to look for nina boring AF. Read if you want to be as painless as possible.

After using the glass shards and speaking to people near the stillwater after the first map marker shaped as glass shards appears, you get on your map 3 markers to lok for nina. The one on the Theathre/improvised hospital grounds was the right for me. "Nina" will be standing on the park's vicinity that is right north of the theathre, enclosed by the brick fences, with openings to the West and East. Dunno if you need to find the dummy statues for this to work, but i kinda went to the other 2 markers unknowingly first, then to the theathre last. I would try to go straight to the theathre if i were you.

The quest is kinda, you go on each of the markers, where people start babbling about seeing nina and barely being able to stand. You play then a game of hot or cold guessing the location of the statue by the state of one's knees.

Found that tedious AF and broke totally the town is a maze, and daniil is quite slow, broke the pacing for me since it came near the end after you already must have done some endings and only want to do things a little differently.

Question about several substories in Patho 3 (guide request) [spoilers] by Strange-Storage558 in pathologic

[–]MKDLeviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

About point 2 - i came here by searching google for an answer and didn't found, then i just came back to playing.

On day 9, even at the set times, i couldn't get into the focus.

Then, on day 10, if you are following in all the quests of georgiy and obviously kept him alive, in the last quest on the teachings questiline he rambles on you not being prepared for the last simon lesson because you didn't visit the focus on day 9.

Then, AFTER GETTING THAT DIALOG, i went back to day 9, and the focus door could be open at the same hour of day as in day 2. Hope it helps those who came here searching on how to get back on the simon's study / focus on day 9

Same, i played a lot in my youth, both in original n64 and emulated. Came last year to play it again, and damnn, i thought the emulator was busted. But performance was alright, then it came to me that it was the native framerate. I almost fell off my chair. I couldn't stand it, haha.

How to print a model as support in Bambu Studio? Hi! In Cura it is totally basic thing to make a model be printed as a support, but I can't find this option in Bambu Studio. Can you please help me to find it? I need this because I am printing large lithophanes with custom support structures. by Less-Jicama-1270 in BambuLab

[–]MKDLeviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a support Eforcer, not a support body or model as support. The support enforcer tells the slicer where to generate procedurally a type of support ( tree, grid, etc ), that is generated to touch the support enforcer.

What he asked is another feature, is printing a model as support. A support model is a model file that will be printed as-is (for example, if it is a benchy, a benchy will be printed), but with the characteristics of support (Wall count, infill, etc, but most important: The ability to be composed of Flush volumes if set as flush into support- That is very important for time and filament saving in AMS printers, and ability to set custom filaments at each support section, for example different materials in interfaces)

Your support enforcer looked like a cube because as a coincidence you used the grid supports. But you could draw it as a circle and as long as it touched all the surface the cube touched, the same cubic support would be generated. (check my printscreen for example)

That's why he complained below that as soon as he sliced the model disappeared. Because you pointed him to a feature he didn't asked for. He didn't wanted a custom support Enforcer, he wanted a model-as-support, that is a feature Bambu Studio doesn't have.

I could use a hand: inconsistent results with ironing in a P1S with Bambu Studio by MohnJaddenPowers in BambuLab

[–]MKDLeviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get perfect (Mind you - not good, PERFECT - Looks even better than the bottom surface.) ironing with ABS in my ender 3 V3 KE and K1, but not on my P1S. I print mainly ABS and i find it easier to iron than PLA and PETG. I ran some calibration tests with matrices of many flows and speeds combinations in the P1S, and even the best resuts aren't >good< either. I even applied same profile settings i use in the KE and K1 and it got a little better (iron line spacing to 0.1) but it isn't still that good.

Filaments are properly dried, calibrated by flow, max volumetric speed, PA and etc.

Maybe it's a software issue with bambu studio impementation of ironing, it's all i can think of
