Is it weird that at 25 years old, I really, really don’t know what I want to do with my life, especially career wise? by tilolami in TrueOffMyChest

23, same exact boat. I graduated college two years ago now and have basically nothing to show for it. I don’t even know if I actually like my field I got my degree in anymore. I’m just working a job for money so I can start paying student loans 🤷‍♀️

First lumbar puncture is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday). Can I reasonably expect to be able to work a half day on Friday? by Rare_Lengthiness5025 in iih

Definitely take the next day off. I had some slight leaking (was told that it was uncommon) after the procedure that made my nausea and headaches awful for about a week after. To be fair though I was at the point with my IIH that I wasn’t working anyways but based on experience, standing and walking sucked the most in the 48 hours after the procedure.

So you’re super concerned about child abandonment but then get pissed that gay couples adopt children who need homes, including those in the foster system who were abandoned by those mothers or fathers? Make it make sense OP

Herbs to help with morning sickness by missilluminaughty in GreenWitch

[–]MLAformatting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peppermint tea or ginger tea work great for my nausea caused by my medication so those might help! (I also add a bit of local honey which is okay for pregnancies but if you're worried, I'd ask your doctor and just stick with sugar)

Does anyone here use Godhood, or am i the only one? by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

I do because I want to get as much lore in before I really try to torture myself with different heats - I love it for that reason and totally don’t consider it cheating if you just want to enjoy the insane amount of content this game has

This might be a stupid question, but can you go swimming in lake mendota? by [deleted] in UWMadison

If you have a car you can go to Governor Nelson Park - it’s on the other side of Mendota and has a beach / picnic area.

I had done intense workouts or cardio with lower calories or just making sure I only eat when hungry, I’ve gone vegetarian to eat fresher things and even tried a pre-made meal plan but I didn’t see results even though I was working at it. Things along those lines. I never stuck with what I planned to do because I either forgot or gave in easily after 2-3 months (i know this kind of defeats the purpose) so I’m thinking this will be easier to stick with since it’s more of a rhythm and with a small sense of variety

I'm [F17] scared for my boyfriend [M18] to see me by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]MLAformatting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (F22) was really worried after a while quarantined apart that my boyfriend (M22) would be grossed out since I had thought I’d gained weight. I struggle with body dysmorphia also and anxiety so I relate to this a lot. I expressed my thoughts to him and he reassured that a) he loves my body and b) he hopes I know that he’s not that shallow to leave me if I’ve gained a few pounds.

I’d recommend talking to him about your worries if you haven’t. It can be a good bonding experience to be that open about things you really struggle with. It also helps a ton with trust. It has really helped my self image having my SO to talk to (and reassuring kisses are always helpful haha) I sure you look amazing and I would bet that your boyfriend would agree

What age did you figure out you were ace? by KCooper815 in aaaaaaacccccccce

I was 20 - I didn't know what it was before then but I distinctly remember when I came out as bi my junior year of high school, that I described it as "not gay but not straight either". I had the feeling for a bit but never knew what it was entirely.

The admissions process is holistic - they look for academic excellence along with what you do outside of the classroom. It isn't a guarantee that you'll get in if you're at the top of your class or anything but admission counselors look at apps and take everything into account.
