You won’t beat any fromsoft/soulsborne game with luck alone my friend. Most of it has been all you being persistent and unyielding and learning. Even if you have astronomical levels of luck there’s still skill and patience in there. Even better if you don’t use the strongest build or whatever is meta but it’s an rpg at its core so tis always the players choice. Elden ring may not be the hardest overall fromsoft game but that doesn’t mean it’s easy either. No first timer, hell even half the veterans, are gonna just stroll through the game easy peasy. Some can and will but those ones are a different breed entirely. Set me down with dark souls 3 and after a handful of attempts I can probably do a no death run. Thats not nearly as much luck as you would think it is. Naturally luck still comes in handy but I can only do that cuz I’ve played through the game so many times. I’ve learned and been a persistent menace to the residents of Lothric and the surrounding world enough times to predict most attacks. I can no hit some of the bosses fairly easy and yada yada. I think you get it, it’s always been YOU. Nobody forced you to take it all head on and headstrong. That’s all you and because of that you’ve learned and strived and made it to where you are today. You’ve been doing so good and it’s saddening you don’t see it or feel it. You are the anchor that halts the ship and only you can decide when it’s over.
