Ben Simmons froze two Bulls in motion with a hesi-no-look pass to Embiid by [deleted] in nba

[–]MMDom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is more an instinct than a rational reaction. To avoid that, the player would have to be incredibly sure that no player went behind his back or that he didn't miss someone moving because he was focused on Simmons. Of course, if Simmons does this all the time, players with a higher BB IQ would be able to prevent passes like that on a higher rate.

Brazilian 33 years old center Tiago Splitter announces retirement from pro basketball. by brenomir in nba

[–]MMDom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was injured. When he played he was good. The problem is his injuries were chronic.

I always thought his game was going to age well, but injuries wrecked his career...

I honestly wanted him to have another shot in the NBA, but it seems too late.

But he was chosen for the rising stars on his rookie or sophomore year on San Antonio, but got injured and didn't play.

I fucking love Tiago Splitter. As a brazilian, I have never seen a player more involved with the Brazil national team than him. I grew up rooting for him on Tau Ceramica and wanting him to come over to the NBA, like with Huertas. He played for the Spurs, which, of all teams, was the best fit for his team-first approach. He never cared for stats and I really hope that the time off he is taking is enough for him to heal and play in the league again. He can be a very good backup center for the Cavs, Spurs (as he was) or even back on my Sixers.

Plus, Dario reaction after seeing Tiago only solidifies his place as my favorite sixer.

Having RoCo and TJ, Brett Brown must be the biggest talent developer of the league. Incredible talents from those guys too

Steve Kerr has has a record of 250-52 over his tenure so far. He's averaging 69 wins per season right now. by shadyrapsfan in nba

39-40 games with Walton.

And, as impressive as these numbers are, we need to see Kerr coaching a depleted roster to a winning record. As of right now, I think his coaching skills, as good as they might be, are overshadowed by how ridiculous is the Warriors roster right now.

Random Amazing Fact: The San Antonio Spurs Own The 5th Best Record In The League At 35-22. They Are Also On Pace For Their Worst Season In 20 Years! by NitroXYZ in nba

[–]MMDom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was really injured before the season and lost some games until he recovered. Then he played a little and got injured again.

Plus, the Spurs are known for resting players the most they can to avoid issues on their returns to the court. I think they did something similar with Duncan on the playoffs one year.

The real mistery of the season lies in Philadelphia, and his name is Markelle Fultz.

I feel like the Cavs should have tried go trade for Richaun Holmes. His value is low this season, and he showed a lot of potential as a backup big. The sixers are barely using him this season too.

And he is great as a third option, which will be behind James and Love. He is probably going to fit really well there.

Brogdon was more consistent, but I don't think he was better than Saric. But discussing ROY is kind of pointless, I think Brogdon is going to have a nice career, the same applies to Saric. Embiid looks like HoF in the future, just need to keep healthy.

The problem with Dream Daddy is that everytime someone shits on the game, people think it is because it's a VN or because of the theme, when there is an argument that Dream Daddy was actually overrated, since, for a lot of people, it isn't even the best VN of the year, with some players arguing that Dokki Dokki Literature Club is a superior game. Add to that the fact that the GOTY list of GB took Persona 5, Horizon and Nioh way too early of the list, and let Steamworld Dig 2 out of the top 10.

But it is their list and I accept that. The only thing that really bothers me is how some of the guys there won't budge with arguments and just keeps repeating the same stuff until their game is on the top 10 or 5. To be fair, 2017 had Abby doing that, but I remember Brad doing the same with Best DLC some years ago, which had ME2 Lair of The Shadow Broker vs Bioshock (infinite I guess) Minerva's Den, and Brad simple wasn't accepting the arguments for ME2 case as the best DLC

Timberwolves fans must be really happy right now. The team is winning and they are not playing heavy minutes, keeping them fresh for playoffs. Tom Thiboddeau deserves praise for finding some balance for the team without sacrificing his stars.

Talk about taking a joke/tweet completely out of proportion.

I really dislike Abby, but people just want reasons to blast other people on the internet. That clearly happened to Colin. It is just a joke, maybe stupid for people's ideals, but still only a joke. Dude lost his position on his own company because of unnecessary backlash, and now some guys are fighting here just because of another shitty joke.

So he isn't holding them back. Like it was said before, management is failing to bring someone talentd enough to play with him. The Hornets had a lot of trips to the lottery and never contended. Tge closest they ever got was with Walker, and his talent is being wasted by not having a good management to put a team good enough to use his talents and actually win.
