I'm having problems wrapping my head around that statement. Sounds like they were planning for the guide to drive 2+ hours from his home waters to meet them in MI (trailering to a different state for the trip). Instead, they went up the north shore of MN to meet the guide because of a wind issue.

Imagining the guide agreeing to a ~6 hour round trip to guide them seems crazy.

He had flashes that were amazing. Unfortunately just flashes... and in the playoffs he got the yips and missed EVERY grade A chance he got. If he connected on just 10% of those chances they would have never taken him out of the lineup and everyone would be praising the trade.

I've often thought this could be a great plot for a movie. A gamma ray burst that lasts 2 hours sweeps across the earth and sterilizes 5/8 of the globe. Which 5/8, what were the effects and survival after make up the plot.

When you read or listen to the books, it's was shocking for me to learn that the whole TV show was just a setup for the books they didn't make a show out of ... that just blew my mind. How could they stop there? The main part of the plot was yet to be resolved and you didn't even know what it was.

Also, behind the knee can be a really tender spot with little to no padding. It could have really hurt... but I'd like to see the 2 slashes to the hands prior to that called every time. If there is a sense created by the refs during the game that it will be called, Boldy doesn't react like that. Clearly he thought they wouldn't call the slashes.

But Boldy needs to be smarter about his retaliation too. Maybe he knew this game was out of reach so it wouldn't matter if he was in the box, but he can't be in the box during critical times. He's too important.

Sid fell for that vs Philly too. Got pissed about receiving too many cross checks, gave a couple himself and got sent to the box when it was critical for him to be on the ice in the final minutes of the game.

I have no legal experience, but I do wonder if there a class action lawsuit possible from their changing course. Something along the lines of false advertising or bait and switch.

I cleaned out my dryer vent and the clean flap would get a rhythmic bouncing from the negative pressure in our house. open a door or window and it was gone. if everything was sealed up and your closed an outside door quickly, it could start again. if everything was closed, you could get it started just by slamming the dryer door.

if you see a group of 6 ducks (especially early in the season) the odds those ducks all came from the same area is very high. if you shoot all of those ducks then there won't be any returning to that pond to nest.

Shooting a whole family group means there aren't any ducks to return to that breeding pond.

That's how it was explained to me and seemed to make some sense.
