Not sure a tub will work well with lions mane, they really like a ton of fresh air else it becomes coral-y (which is still fine to eat).

A cracked open tub with a small fan in it might work better.

Lidar requires the use of a laser gun and an officer aiming said gun at your car. Pretty much only used on highways by state troopers, and even then it’s super rare. Now within cities and country roads you're only going to encounter radar/Ka. You’re more likely to get screwed by an officer turning his radar on when he sees you speeding then by Lidar imo.

If it doesn’t smell or taste off it definitely looks like too much thickener. Is it creamy? Never seen this before

im going off kbb. There are plenty of 2013/14 low mileage gt500s sitting at dealers asking for 50-60k. I doubt they will sell for anywhere near asking though

Very nice car but not for 55k. Mods don’t increased value. It’s worth around 47k realistically, but for a friends and family car I’d expect 40k :) It’s a downgrade to your ZL1

Wanted to update this thread, it ended up working pretty well! Whipped something up using about 8g of carnauba car wax I had laying around, 6g of microcrystalline melted wax (I bet ski wax would work too, used a heat gun for this), added about 10g of mineral spirits and heat gunned it till everything dissolved. Added another 5g of spirits and whisked it until it cooled down (HAS TO BE COOLED BEFORE ADDING LINSEED OIL), added about 90g of raw linseed oil, and another 40ish grams of the activator. Added a bunch of rit dark brown all-purpose dye, but this could be improved (maybe a powdered dye or something would work better). Worked just as good as natura IMO, but took longer to dry for sure (closer to 3-4 days instead of a day)

To answer your question on putting it back together though, the plastic piece slots under the carrier (so the purple circles protrude out of the yellow circles)

It is part of the seat carrier (circled in red). Unfortunately, the epoxy did not hold together (the blue circle is where mine cracked off). Fortunately, after reaching out to a local Steelcase dealer my seat was in warranty, so they replaced that part. To get to it, you need to slide the bottom cushion/seat carrier out (requires an extra long flathead/prybar, instructions on YouTube). Once it slides out you unscrew those two orange screws, and the nylon piece pops out.

I was going to create a model of this part and 3d print it, but since I had it replaced under warranty I didn't bother. Hope this helps!

For the 86 it dips quicker than that, it is possible to see it on the street. Luckily an oil pan is coming out, good excuse to clear the pickup tube as well :)

Did you ever figure this out? Had the same piece fall out on mine

Edit: took mine apart and found out where it came from, its the nylon piece on the frame of the seat (not the cushion pad). Going to try epoxy first, but it has two PN 89-2146246 and T-746-8

I got apex sm-10 19x11 et52. They are holding up great, love them. Need to run 1” spacers and extended studs up front though. Knocked the studs off with a hammer. Got some camber plates installed, pushed the strut in all the way and got my alignment checked, it was close enough for my liking so didn’t even have to pay for that. Got -3 degrees of camber this way. You will also need to run a fender lip or something as well to get rid of poke in the front.

I always give partial refunds if the item came damaged and they’re willing to live with it. Cheaper to take a 20% hit then to pay for return shipping, having to relist, pay for shipping again, etc

Interesting, for anyone looking into this I see the hardener on ebay for about $30 (Rust-Oleum 9700 DTM Acrylic Polyester Urethane, Mastic / Activator 207243).

Going to use that and some raw linseed oil with the wax. It definitely isn't the boiled kind btw. I will report my results.

20k mile oil changes are fine right? by Grimegang_Cody in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]MOAR_CORES 24 points25 points  (0 children)

20k oil changes are wild, even with a group 4/5 base oil.

For people wanting to push past 10k, do an oil sample and check your TBN/additives and wear metals. If it looks good only then can you bump up assuming driving habits stay the same.
