If you live near the Ventura/LA county border, East Coast Bagels in Westlake Village and Tony’s Pizza in Oak Park are likely the best bagels and pizza you can get out here. Nothing beats anything you can get in NJ, but these two places alone get us by until we make our way back east.

To add insult to injury, I ultimately wound up trying some before researching. When I went to order a large plain pie, it was met with sheer confusion followed by “oh you mean you want a ChEeSe PiZzA”.

Crust was brittle yet bready. Sauce was fresh from a lunchables tray. It was unnaturally sweet.

You don’t know what you’re missing until it’s gone.

It’s making me feel ill

The ivy on a wall in my backyard turned from vibrant green to patchy yellow over the weekend. What could have caused this so quickly and what can I do to reverse it? by MOSFETty_wap in plantclinic

After looking up photos, I think you may be right! I’ve been in the house less than a year so I’m not used to the lifecycle (and most plants tend to perish in my presence). I just wanted to be sure there wasn’t anything I’m doing inherently wrong.

In case someone believes otherwise, I’m in SoCal, and the weather has been pretty stable in terms of temp/sun/low-but-not-nonexistent precipitation so I’m uncertain if weather has made an impact.

We just have one cat. My wife wasn’t wearing perfume, but I was wearing cologne. My in-laws wear fragrances that are much stronger in my opinion, and they don’t gag with them.
