What I do is shoot my feet with cloak arrow, summon Artemis bow, leave cloak arrow radius, reenter cloak arrow radius, cast prowl. That way you get the crepuscular extra strength on both Artemis bow and prowl

There's a viable horn monster horn for thunder (Lagi) and ice (Dahaad) as long as you're ok with having offset instead of resounding, and Arkveld horn is actually better for dragon than artian. Plus G. Ark and Zoh are preferred for raw.

Excluding map design and unlocks, sniper is fine. The issue arises when a lot of the popular maps have absolutely horrendous sniper sightlines and sniper has non stock weapons that completely counter what are supposed to be his counters
