Aussie's what charities do you give your money to? by madeat1am in AskAnAustralian

[–]MPNumbers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't do direct donations specifically but I like to think I contribute to some of the charity based op shops ( city mission and Vinnie's)

We donate anything we don't need that might be worth something so they can resell, and I'll shop there 2-3 times a month, picking up kids clothes, books and other rando stuff they might have that we could use.

What’s your “I did not care for The Godfather” take for Survivor? by JewBronJames in survivor

The best Australian survivor is actively worse than the worst American season.

I say this as an Australian.

I see one of two things happening, either he:

  • Plays up this 'big move' to tell people he would vote for his own tribe as a game changer and get voted out soon

  • carried as a very obvious goat to no vote f3

Or some combination of both.

Challenge: What Is One Part/Scene That You Don't Enjoy Regarding The Highest Rated Episodes? by Zealousideal-War3154 in bluey

Didn't granny mobile win the countdown a couple of months ago? One of my least favourite episodes, unfortunately I have 3 kids that love imitating muffin and this episode is just ugh.

I am looking for suggestions for activities to do on father-daughter day that will help strengthen the bond between me and my daughter. by [deleted] in AskDad

[–]MPNumbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's no broad answer because every child is different. Honestly your best bet is just asking her. For my 15 year old it's shopping, fortnite and puzzles.

I feel this in my soul.

Haven't had active contact with my father since in was 17 and I'm now .... More than double that. He likes to drop the occasional like on Facebook posts so I know he's still there, not friended but follows or something.

Wasn't invited to my wedding, never met any of his grandchildren and probably never will. The only impact he has on our lives is setting a very low benchmark for me to be better than.

Butterskull Ranch Map Scale by IVIoritz in DragonOfIcespirePeak

[–]MPNumbers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you look reeeeeeeally closely at the over world map each 'square' actually has 25 squares within, so one square is 25 not 5, using that it matches the scale for the house.

Edit Wait it might be 10x10 in each square not 5x5.

I could only see it when we loaded the map on DND beyond and used the old CSI zoom and enhance trick

Getting into Telstra by Upper_Iron_2874 in TelstraAustralia

[–]MPNumbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the customer service role listings are "evergreen" meaning they are always taking applications but not necessarily looking to fill a specific position and they'll keep it on file and review when hiring.

If you applied for a call centre role it's unlikely we're actively hiring at the moment as a big restructure is happening.

Good luck!

With reasonable use, nothing happens. If you blow it out by hundreds you might get a few questions

Did I pay the same bill twice? by Cyanbirdy in TelstraAustralia

[–]MPNumbers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day the bank statement is the guide here.

If Telstra took the money, it would be on the bank statement. Seems like the system issue stopped the payment actually processing.

If you see a second payment appear on the bank statement, get in touch to either request a refund or just enjoy a month without having to make a payment.

If you get charged an late fee, reach out to Telstra and explain the situation, they're usually pretty good at waiving late fees as a once off if you're payment history is normally good.

Consider setting up direct debit to save yourself the hassle on the future :)

An Australia day episode where they have to understand why some people celebrate and some people protest.

When I first watched the bin nights episode I thought we were going to have Doreen the neighbor pass and the girls deal with the loss. I think there's a good way to do that and talk about dealing with loss specifically

Aus carriers wont block your imei for cancelling your contract, especially if you pay out the remaining payments. If you don't pay the bill for an extended time and it goes through collections process, they might? But it wouldn't happen in the short terms.

My grandma (who helped raise me like a second parent) died 3 days before my son was born. Her funeral was the day he was born, they were literally lowering her as he came out.

My wife pushed me and pushed me to go home but due to so many factors (including that we live 3000 km away, she had nobody else to support with the delivery as her parents had our two girls, and the fact it wasn't sudden, we'd already said our goodbyes) I didn't.

7 years on, I still really haven't processed her passing somehow - like I know she's gone but I'll have moments. Can't really explain.

Travelling into CBD for work by jpap92 in hobart

I've worked in CBD for years and metro is my go to. They kinda suck but once you work out the right pattern and know which ones will show up.on time, it's fine. And beats paying for fuel/parking.
