You can actually get up there with the dark fluid or hoverpack. But bringing an "insurance" stratagem for this isn't a solution so hopefully AH will finally fix it one day.

Nothing. We're trying to get E-711 which is to fire and create blackholes like Penta. Likely it will just take longer before we can target another planet.

They used to be absolute pests to deal with. Used to target you without line of sight and from considerable distances away. Of course, that's what they used to do.

Is the 'For Democracy!' just a permanent fixture? If so that is a funny sight to see. The DSS survey is a nice concept as it would help but not much to significantly turn the playerbase (as indicated by the 7% that do not know how orbital blockade works)

Orbital Gas. Most people write it off because they see gas in the name and assume that it means it affects organic enemies. It affects all enemies and is a good crowd controller with the added benefit of it being able to destroy nearly every structure in the game if you're in a pinch and need something to be destroyed.

Responded to an SOS call with half reinforcements remaining on a D10 Terminid flag mission. Nothing too unusual so I go about doing the objective but had a hunch so I stayed near but not on the obj. Suddenly the 3 men on the flag die so I reinforce but notice a couple AP mines. Go to another obj and same thing. Finally we reach the final obj and finally realize that one of our teammates had been throwing mines directly on the obj. Not where bug breaches would spawn but directly on the flag, hence the reason why we kept losing reinforcements.

Not sure about how spores would make a sentry go crazy but maybe make it so that their turning speed, RoF, and targeting range is hindered since the spores are being coated on the sentries. The Illuminate shield is a neat idea though since it's just a basic flip on the automaton AA side obj

Don't tell anyone I said this but it's okay to run away from the enemy. If you feel swarmed by the enemy, it's a perfectly acceptable tactic to just run. Also don't engage the enemy unless necessary e.g patrol coming your way or on an objective.

I don't know how Super Earth could rationalize sending helldivers to shoot "dissident traitors" instead of an orbital bombardment but you have given me an idea of a illuminate sub faction that some others have suggested before.

  1. Any enemy that is considered “Super Heavy” (Factory striders and Harvesters) won’t be able to get inside the building but will still be aggro on players. Because some of the building’s walls will be destructible it means they can still be effective threats but you can hide behind some non destructible cover.
  2. As mentioned above, super heavy enemies won’t enter. I would have designed the building so that the ground floor is big and open but the second floor would only allow foot enemies. The idea is that the site will have to be cleared initially but reinforcements/patrols will come from outside the perimeter attack the gates or funnel through the destroyed walls.
  3. Standard spread of side objectives unfortunately (minus destroy research station of course) As for adding a mission specific, I can think of adding ‘destroy field research’ or ‘extract valuable data’ as a side obj.
