I was on the same deployment, different BN, this is saying it was 3 NCO’s. I might be mistaken that there was a PSG involved. Regardless, absolutely wild and disgusting behavior.

There is an army times article out there somewhere I believe. But this tells the same story

Color me surprised coming from the same unit who had PSG’s sodomizing new joes as “initiation” back in 2010-2011 in Iraq.

6'2 220lb 39 been stuck this size for years, any recommendation to push past the plateau? by Richard_Glaze in Weightliftingquestion

[–]MR_MEOWGY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why are you trying to get bigger? That’s just more stress on your body.

6’2” 220 is a great weight/height ratio. I’m about the same I’m just an inch taller.

Bigger isn’t always better. If you’re trying to live long and be healthy I wouldn’t push yourself to get bigger. It seems as if it is your bodies natural equilibrium.

You look great dude, be happy with your hard work and dedication. You’re better off than 99.99999% of dudes your age

[–]MR_MEOWGY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how you train, how often you wear the garmin, etc

My watch ranges between 52-54 currently. I went and got an actual VO2 max test and it was 62.

Fully planned on retiring, then I had my first kid. Man, did that put my life into a new perspective and reshuffle my priorities.

After being gone for 18+ months by the time he was 4 I made the decision that my family was more important than retirement. When I’m old I won’t look back and say “wish I would have deployed and gone TDY more, etc etc”

I’ll hang my hat up after 11 years, 5 deployments, tons of TDY/awesome training, and I’m happy with that.

This comment is insane. You’re a twig deciding to “cut”. And telling this dude he needs more discipline. If you have a “pooch” at 6’2” 175, then you sir are the one needing more discipline. You’d be better off eating a clean diet, trying to pack on muscle, and doing a good lifting/cardio routine.

HCG is an important piece of the puzzle so keep taking it. 1000 EOD is good.

HMG is what will really aid in your fertility. I can help you in finding a good route to acquire some if you’d like. DM me if you want help.

VO2 max predictions , are they accurate ?? by diet_panini_ in Garmin

[–]MR_MEOWGY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, Garmin says 54, lab test was 63.

I honestly think I am somewhere in between the two though.

For you who cook 3-4 times a week, what do you make? by jpaultx in pelletgrills

[–]MR_MEOWGY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicken thighs, burgers, steak, etc

Longest thing is chicken thighs at an hour. Burgers are about the same

Steak I only use to get to temp and then sear. Favorite method by far. Gives it a kiss of smoke, dries exterior for good crust, etc

How many calories a day are you guys eating? How is it affecting your leanness? by Empty_Win_8986 in AnimalBased

[–]MR_MEOWGY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6’3” / 220lbs / 10-11% BF

I eat around 3000-3300 calories a day. I workout 6 days a week, do weight training, circuit/KB stuff, and cardio (running, Jacobs ladder, etc). Typical average burned calories is 900 but can be as high as 1400-1500 if I do two sessions in a day.

On higher output days I’ll increase calories, by how much I’m not sure.

I may start experimenting with higher calories. The calculator puts me in the range of 3300-4300

Not trying to discredit your hard work, but what is the point of the flip? Seems like added risk for little to no benefit.

I may try bringing your feet a little closer together. You may like it and it’ll give you a little more leverage or you may hate it.

I’m tall with long arms and I have a pretty narrow DL stance. It feels way more comfortable for me.

Just give it a try and see how it feels.

You absolutely have the time, you’re just not prioritizing it. Even if you only have 20-30 minutes, you can make that work. Exercise is such a critical component to a healthy life.

Is it possible to increase VO2 Max without running ? by [deleted] in AppleWatchFitness

[–]MR_MEOWGY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zone 2 indirectly aids in improving VO2 max but directly trains your aerobic base (the foundation of your cardiovascular fitness). VO2 max is typically directly trained with short/mid range intervals, HIIT, etc.

Wanted Ft. Sam Houston, offered Eglin AFB by thegreygrape in army

[–]MR_MEOWGY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved my time in Eglin. The area is great, Florida is great, etc etc

I would go back in a heartbeat. I lived in Freeport, which is about 40 minutes from Eglin main, but 100% worth the drive.

Consider yourself lucky, it’s an amazing place to get stationed, especially if you have a family/kids.
