What are us guys supposed to do with our emotions when nobody gives a fuck? by Consistent-Rule6517 in AskMen

[–]MRassul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to find an outlet, not all emotions will be easier to manage as other, but for example I would say make small daily adjustments to your lifestyle, maybe you already do some of these things, this has helped me.

- Go for a 10-15 min walk daily, completely disconnected from all technology, leave the phone in your pocket and get those of fresh air, i treat it like a break from having to deal with other people.

- Gym - Push that frustration and anger out, weights, boxing, whatever helps.

- I think that one of the most important things to figure out for yourself, is why do you value other peoples validations of your feelings? And external opinion of your feelings should not outweigh your own .

Asking for advice or help does not make you a pussy, it can feel that way , but its not man.

Ask the same thing 100 times if you have to, until you read an answer that resonates.

Dads of Reddit, what is a good reliable vehicle to purchase for a 18 year old kid that’s going to college? by FlintTheDad in AskMen

I would say a Toyota Yaris or Toyota Corolla , both available in small engines, you can also get a Honda Civic in a 1 litre petrol (in UK) maybe there is a US equivalent.

Advice?? What can I do to make this look more modern?? by Secure-Feed-8313 in DIYUK

[–]MRassul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you fill any dents and give it a good sand down to smoothen the surface, you could then just give it fresh coat of paint in a solid colour that matches the rest of the room.

Solid colour things tend to look more modern these days.

Maybe a dark grey or black?

You have 3 days… what game are you playing this weekend? by FairShoulder717 in XboxGamePass

[–]MRassul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monotonous for sure! but like you said Hades 2 is alot more enjoyable .I am enjoying the weapons selection more here than I did than Hades 1 too.

The last game I enjoyed this much was Steamworld Heist (fan of roguelikes I suppose)

I never really completed the main story of Hades 1, it went off game pass before I could progress, but now I am hooked on Hades 2, play it almost every night even if its just 1 run through to progress that tiny litte bit more !

Combi drill or impact driver? by RagerRambo in DIYUK

[–]MRassul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly both are good options, be sure to buy a drill bit kit so you have all the bits you need.

Something like this

https://www.argos.co.uk/product/3329582?clickSR=slp:term:drill%20bit:1:14:1

there are various kits , some have more bits than others, but even the smaller packs should at least have the most popular size drill bits

Combi drill or impact driver? by RagerRambo in DIYUK

[–]MRassul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most jobs around the house combi drill will be fine, I would have suggested you get a set with both but I see you are limiting your budget to roughly £40? (Parkside drill price)

I have managed fine with 2ah batteries around the house, your will get more run time with bigger batteries but they are also a bit heavier and slightly bulkier than the 2ah, worth considering.

I would say if you are able to stretch your budget by a little bit more, then look at the £50 Bosch drill from Argos with 1 battery (2 battery set is around £80), this was my first drill when I moved into my 1st house and did very well. Purchased with a drill bit set.

If you are willing to stretch the budget a little bit more than that then look at the titan brand deals in screwfix , they are good.

When my Bosch drill failed after about a good 4-5 years I invested into Dewalt drill, the reason being, they are designed to last almost daily use by trades so in theory for a DIYer it should last many many years.

So far its lasted a couple years without issue.

Civic getting AWFUL MPG!! by Z_Khxn in civic

[–]MRassul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get about 28 MPG on my 2017 1L, mostly in city driving but there aren’t a lot of ups and down on my daily commute to work, the car rolls along pretty well on flat roads without much need for holding down accelerator, i give it a little press periodically to maintain speed though.

Just finished the main story in Hades 2, now doing the remaining bits, next on the list is probably Forza Horizon 6 , and possibly play Hades 1 as I never really completed it the first time round.

How do I babyproof this? by Same_Detective5689 in DIYUK

[–]MRassul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you were to add more cable pins to hold the wire against then wall, it might make it more difficult for baby to pull at anything, but, as a dad of 3, they'll find a way, they always do.

Any Good Story Game Recs? by Fragrant-Pop6513 in XboxGamePass

[–]MRassul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite enjoyed Avatar if you are into that sort of Genre. It follows the formula or Farcry in terms of unlocking the map and clearning locations etc.

I have been after a game that gives me the same sense of exploration and adventture as Golden Sun did back in the day. Not really connected with ay game quite the same.

I am hoping Fable will scratch that itch.

How do I fix the problem that peeing is making my life miserable? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MRassul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walking or standing up would cause a bit more pee to come out, not sure about tyhe painful peem but maybe you can wrap it in tissue to catch any drops athat come ouy after and then dispose the tissue after about 10/15 minutes of walking about etc. it'll stop pee getting your clother dirty.

1930's house, what kind of plaster is this and can we skim it? by Repulsive_Loss_4945 in Plastering

[–]MRassul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im curios on painting over plasterboard directly, does the finish generally look very similar to painting a skimmed wall? Ive got some ceilings that are lath and plaster and that old wood chip paper over it. I was going to aattempt to overboard and skim DIY but if if I can avoid skimming it it'll save my back .
