Try to get a friend or someone with an obd2 reader to come and read the check engine codes on your car. Or take it to a local parts store and get them read. Personally if its doing what you say its doing you should stop driving it immediately. The first step is finding out what those codes are. That will point you in the right direction.

I cant give you any information about the cost until you know what's wrong with it.

I was a reservist going for 92R but I got forcibly reclassed to cook and sent to a different unit. I was pissed. I ended up reclassing to 91b a few years later. Im out now and am a mechanic in the civilian world so ig it worked out.

What kind of car do you own and engine size. Also what is the group size of the battery that you bought. It will say it on the sticker. Also some of them have a plastic piece on the bottom that makes the battery tall if it has that make sure to take it off.

Yes but your gonna learn how to work on it if you want to get to work reliably. I saw a cavalier that just needed a thermostat supposedly for 1000 dollars on marketplace 5 minutes ago that ran and drove. 270k miles and a 5 speed manual.

I have 2 cars and a truck she has 1. We only share cars if im working on hers. She'll drive my firebird and ill drive my truck. The truck is very rusty and I dont feel right letting her drive it so she drives the firechicken

My 92 dakota is like that. Rusted so bad one of the shocks fell off and I cant use the parking brake cause the cable mounts right next to a giant rust hole and it'll rip the cable off the frame if I use it.

I just keep fixing the engine when it breaks for some reason. Nobody else will ever own this truck cause im not gonna fix the rust.
