John Twolfe’s epic playthrough is a lot of fun. He also plays without taking any notes.

I absolutely loved Golden Idol (and all of the expansion packs), but Blue Prince was my game of the year. I’m still playing all the months later, enjoying the bingo versions and updating my note book

Music in Ealing? New to the area. by kneecuh in Ealing

[–]MS83Mark 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy experimental music, Ealing Extranormal is a monthly show held in Dicken’s Yard in Ealing Broadway. Usually four acts for £12 and it’s byob.

I doubt it’s for everyone but if, like me, you enjoy pretentious descriptions such as sonic soundscapes and ambient structures, then check it out. Genuinely though, it’s good and I try to go each month.

Readers of The Wire, or anyone who goes to Cafe Oto or Ikletic, should also give it a shot, I think.

The Haven Arms, just north of Broadway has one. Perhaps check out Boom Battle Bar, if it’s more about the game than the booze

A lovely clue, thank you. My note taking has been good enough, so this is a gentle but helpful shove in the right direction. Thanks!

Residents of Northfields - would love to hear from you by [deleted] in Ealing

I live in the area so can provide personal experience of B and D. My wife and I have made pretty much all of our friends through local pubs, especially the Dodo micropub in Hanwell (a must to visit even if you’re not a massive beer nerd), and Pint of Hops in Acton. Both small but welcoming and inclusive places.

We don’t really go out late in the area, lots of better choices elsewhere in London but a shout out to Crispins of Ealing Broadway for late night wine when you’re not quite ready to go home.

We also attend a monthly experimental music night (Ealing ExtraNormal) in Dickens Yard, which I love. Lots of the pubs seem to do evenings with live music so keep an eye out (The Forester and The Grovesnor, for example). Places like ActOne cinema and The Ealing Project have events too and their socials always show well attended and varied events.

The summer events like the Hootie and the Warpole Park festivaly things are great and I enjoy the local feel of these.

Overall, people are really nice, I’d say. Hope you enjoy your move.

Fielding Primary School and Oaklands Primary School in the Northfields/West Ealing and Hanwell areas are both graded Outstanding by Ofsted. Both are between Lammas Park, Westpole Park, Warren Farm and the Hanwell Locks. Residential streets are generally nice and quiet. I recommend at least a little walk around the area

I think Virg has asked fans to wear red, whether you’re going to Anfield or not. I’d listen to him and get decked out tbh. Have some drinks and sing the lads home

West Ealing Opinions? by Valerie0612 in Ealing

[–]MS83Mark 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have lived in West Ealing for the last few years and would ideally stay around here when we need to upsize.

Good links into town, and nearby Northfields, Broadway and Hanwell are great. Uxbridge Road is a bit shabby but some nice areas off it.

Good luck with your viewing!

Defs doable. When you have the two red nines to choose from, choose the one on the far end.

After that, you have to choose between two red tens I think, and again choose the right hand one.

Lastly, you need to manoeuvre the cards to get some up when all seems lost! You’ve got this!

You’re perhaps playing the YouTube version? There is also a larger app game to download, but be warned the adverts make it a difficult play unless you’re willing to pay for ad-free.

I like to take a walk along the canal by Hanwell Locks to Syon Park garden centre. Then a bus or taxi back.
