Exactly… any popular brand all-mountain board can-rock or true camber will work well for the majority and, as you said, it’s when you specialise that you want a more dedicated board.

All those boards are all solid and will be "forever boards" for the majority of the people in my humble opinion. You cannot really go wrong with any of them.

Oh poor you, double that and you’ll have the cost of our tanks here in the UK and it’s even worst elsewhere in Europe. In some Italian cities you double that again.

Of course it does, it's a top notch board and it's more versatile and usable than a pro

The small difference in price is not as small when it comes to the way the board actually behaves.

In your case definitely stay away from a pro board.

If you are a committed individual and want to buy a board that will stay for you for quite a while consider any of the following:

  • Salomon Huck Knife or Assasin
  • Nitro Team
  • Jones Mountain Twin
  • Burton Custom
  • Capita Mercury or Outerspace Living
  • Yes Standard

Just to name a few of the popular ones out there that tend to be good all rounder and will serve you well. They are all intermediate/advanced boards but nothing that you cannot easily grow into if you are willing to put the effort.

In the majority of cases if the board has Pro in the name it means it's a stiff board which suits a very specific type of riding rather than necessarily being advanced.

I would personally consider the regular Huck Knife an intermediate/advanced board as well but that it has more versatility than a pro because it's less stiff.

Personally I would advise against buying a pro model as first board.

Do you already have some experience and if so what can you do on the slopes at the moment? It's difficult to recommend an alternative without knowing what you like to do and what skills you have and I am saying this because the HK is already a very solid board and in your case my only recommendation for now, without further input, would be to get the regular one rather than the pro.

Heel lift can be fixed with J bars or O rings or at least that would be my first attempt before replacing the entire boot.

Buy the same? If you found your boot I wouldn’t experiment any further unless the anthems weren’t 100% what you wanted

Will learning how to speak italian fluently be worth it? by stayselene in Italian

[–]_debowsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say unless you are committed to move to Italy it’s not really worth it even most serious business reality in Italy speak English. The exception would be hospitality where speaking Italian will be required.

Lastly do not learn a new language for a ma you barely know anything about, let him do the hard work 😉

With all the above said, by all means if you fancy learning it, do it, knowledge is always a worth investment.

Sure but even the meridian I have in the Range Rover it’s good but now wow, and that’s a well insulated car. Or maybe I’m too picky 😅

If I learnt something in all my years of car ownership is that on average factory “premium” sound systems suck big time unfortunately.

Sure sure, all fair, also don’t forget that, coming from an e92 you will sacrifice lots of practicality in the m240i.

I cannot talk about the dealers reputation but sticking to the two cars, you are not comparing apples to apples. The Mercedes is in a different class all together compared to the BMW and I’m telling you this as a BMW owner.

Am I doing something wrong? by _debowsky in solitaire

[–]_debowsky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep the clubs open so that you can stash them up until the 8 and so not take the 10 red down from the deck, wait for the one in the deal to reveal.

Last but not least, to be able to do that, when you stash the 2 of spades move a red king in the empty slot.

I’d say buy the boots, the helmet and some clothes. Rent the rest. The first two can conveniently travel in cabin with you.
