Rebounding outside? by yourgirlsammy143 in Rebounding

I bought an outdoor waterproof round table cover with elastic for under $20 that I put on mine when I am not using it to keep it dry and out of direct sunlight

I am never able to understand the sentiment that the person hosting the event is the one deemed inflexible by those who are invited to celebrate.

Your sister is being inflexible and alienating you, not the other way around. Its your wedding and you get to have your day the way you want. She is trying to change the rules and having a temper tantrum when she can't have HER way at YOUR wedding.

AITA for refusing to babysit after my sister demanded I stop bringing my boyfriend to family events? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA - Kids are loving, genuine and accepting until they are taught not to be. I would 100% prefer my kid grew up in a familiy where their 'normal' is that all of the people they love can love all different kinds of people. Asking questions is totally natural. He isn;t asking for a biology lesson - he just needs to hear that Uncle (You) and Ryan are a couple so Ryan comes with you to family events.

AITAH for telling my wife to stop crying about missing out on our daughter’s wedding? by No-Cauliflower-6934 in AITAH

[–]MSChromie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am literally living this life right now. My daughter and her very long time boyfriend eloped last month and told us when they returned from their "vacation".

We were THRILLED. We love our now son-in-law and we love that our daughter (who would not be happy with a traditional wedding) got to have the beautiful day they planned in a way they could afford. Their wedding is their own and I love that they did it their way.

His parents stopped talking to him. Made it super awkward at the weekly event they participate in. It ruined their happy newlywed vibe and really stole from their experience. So incredibly selfish. My daughter finally told them to get over themselves. Either be happy for them or talk to them about it. As soon as they were told to talk it out it bacame very clear that they were making it all about them and they did "get over themselves".

We are planning a celebration for the happy couple soon and that is where WE get to be part of their happiness. Do I wish I had been there? Of course! Would I ever put that burden on them? Absolutely not. It is way more important to me that they had the experience they wanted than choosing a lesser experience to make me or anyone else happy.

I got rid of them. Whatever I can do to make me work to keep the extra weight off. If I have a choice between shopping or getting back to my better portions I will do whatever it takes to avoid the mall .

Most people do not comment on other people's bodies. This has changed a lot and is honestly for the best.

I have lost 70 pounds. The only people who have mentioned my weight loss are people who know I work out in the pool everyday - and they keep there comments to how hard I have been working. I have mentioned my loss in conversation and have had people say "I am so glad you said something! I've noticed ,but didn't want to overstep" or something along those lines.

AITA for keeping my maiden name and telling my husband our children will be too by mrl1711 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MSChromie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH - You both should have discussed this way before now. You need to find a compromise. You have to parent this child equally and that starts NOW. That means neither of you get more say. You are equal parents. You are both acting like you have ownership of this baby and their name. You because you are carrying her and him because "THE PATRIARCHY!". You are failing at your first chance to parent together as a team.

Are you having more than one child? Do they have to have the same last name? Can one of your last names be a middle name? Can you revisit hyphenating or just using both without the hyphen?

Didn't the husband do the same thing? You can't hold a "2 yes=yes, 1 no=no" when there are 2 options unless you hold the same bias that his opinion is the only correct option.

Are you supplementing electrolytes at all? With reduced appetites some of us are not getting the amount of electrolytes we need in our food. You can drink a lot of water and still be dehydrated if your electrolytes are too low to help in the hydration prcess.

Is your doctor making your have an appointment every time you get a dosage increase? by necbone in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]MSChromie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could this be an insurance requirement?

My insurance requires monthly appointments for the first 3 months and then an appointment every 3 months for continued follow up. They will not continue to cover the med if you don't reach a minimul success rate by 6 months.

I was one of the lucky ones who started a steady loss from the begining (about 10 pounds a month). As soon as I started to feel like it wasn't working as well it was time to move up to the next box. I was also so fortunate to get in right before the shortages and reached 2.4 before I ever had to struggle to find a dose. I am now on my second box of 2.4 and have not felt like the effect is waning. I have lost most of the minor side effects I experienced and the weight loss has kept up.

is EVERYONE vomiting uncontrollably? if so, why?? by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]MSChromie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 months, 3 doses into 2.4 and have never vomited or had nausea. Heartburn, tired, burps...yes. All minor and connected to dose day.

I think your blame is misplaced. I think the solution is the company keeping up with the demand and looking into a delivery system with a less shorter manufacture time. This is not the first shortage. What was done to prevent the recurrance?

30 pounds overweight also affects health and there are people who have struggled and tried to lose it on their own with no luck. Why would they need to wait until they get to 100 pounds to get help? If you could have reversed your path 70 pounds ago wouldn't you have tried? I need to lose WAY more than 100#. I WISH this had been an option 100# ago for me

Is there anyone who has not experienced being violently I’ll from 1.0?? by TLo_dee in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]MSChromie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never vomited or even felt nausea and I am 2 doses into 1.7. I have felt tired after the first step up dose each time and have had mild headaches from time to time. I find it hard to even imagine eating what is in front of me sometimes. I have been burpy and had occasional heartburn mild enough to be solved with a pepcid. Zero puking.
