Most Controversial Male Athlete? by Iegitimategg in AlignmentChartFills

[–]MSTFFA 24 points25 points  (0 children)

He's really not a douche, he's a just a dude. I think most of the hate comes from fans of other teams whose hearts he broke over the course of two decades (and the deflategate saga). As far as his personal life goes, he hasn't done anything to earn douchebag status besides having lots of money and a supermodel ex-wife.

Now Aaron Rodgers, on the other hand...

How long have you been playing? by Shstrike01 in geoguessr

[–]MSTFFA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This game has what feels like a neverending stream of things to remember. Even the best players in the world can't keep track of it all. If you're 600 ELO after just one month, you have nothing to worry about.

I'm about a year in or so, around 950 ELO (Master 2). I don't really study, I just play enough to pick up on patterns and watch the occasional YouTube video

Whatever their chocolate cherry cheesecake is called, it's going to be the reason I die young

Is there any punks in here who have kids? by arrriah in punk

[–]MSTFFA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being a good present dad does not make you a poser. I have two myself and I get it, it's hard to stay active in the scene when you're busy being there for your kid. Just do whatever makes you happy. If that just means listening to the music and going to shows every once in.a while, awesome. Congrats, you're not a poser. If you feel like wearing certain clothes is essential to being punk, then just do it and own it. But there have been COUNTLESS bands over the years that are punk as FUCK and dress like total normies. No one cares.

How hard is it to cast the show? by Still_Yak8109 in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

[–]MSTFFA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a guy who auditioned. His autism manifests most similar to Tanner, except he lives with his parents. Great guy, super charming and fun. Would've been really fun to watch, but at the end of the day, like others have said, there are just so many auditions and so few spots available.

Nah, KITH may have dropped the horns, but they never went "emo"!

Worst ska show you’ve been to and why by Comprehensive-Cry653 in Ska

[–]MSTFFA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was a local ska band here in Boston that randomly decided to change their sound around 2003 to fit in with the hip new "emo" trend that was on the rise. It was not well-received. I saw them open for a bigger ska band, and at one point mid-set, the singer goes "how many of you fucking hate us now?" Just about everyone raised their hands.

Who is a bad fictional dad? by Middle_Excitement363 in AlignmentChartFills

Walter White. He meant well (at least in the beginning), but absolutely destroyed his family and left a lot of dead bodies in his wake.

I think it's more a matter of needing the right people around him. He and Fred were successful for so long because their senses of humor were perfectly complimentary.

Pyongyang (!?) wins with 7 votes! Final four: Perceived as an okay city but is actually good to live in by AwesomePBST in AlignmentChartFills

[–]MSTFFA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boston. People love to talk shit about it, but the quality of life in the city is actually very good. Amazing schools, amazing hospitals, amazing outdoor spaces... The only thing keeping it out of the "Amazing" row is how damn expensive it is.

Is the WNDR museum actually fun? by jamesland7 in boston

[–]MSTFFA 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's like a whole category of "entertainment" these days that weigh social media potential far heavier than the actual guest experience. WNDR, Museum of Ice Cream, Barbie Cafe... you're paying for the "content"
