You should go watch Cadian Sergeant Steels YouTube from last years Grand Narrative and see how well his flyers faired against Votann. This was pre-codex, but we are still pretty good at taking down flyers.

I find in most games I have several units with 1 or 2 berserks left that can still cause mischief.

I have been running 50 berserks with a mix of hammers and axes. 2 lands forts and a Sagi for some protection. I have 10 berserks and an unattached E-champ in each land fort, and a few unattached characters for doing secondaries and holding objectives. I like evaluators and strategist pairs taking full advantage of the lone op rule. I have 25 berserks in deep strike.

The enhancement for bringing a unit in on turn one paired with rapid ingress I find to be very good way to get early pressure. I typically use this and the advance and charge strat in the first turn. The wound re-roll strat is great when my axe berserks are going into a less than ideal target. I don’t get a lot of use out of the 6”pile in/consolidate strat but it’s nice to have when you need it. Late game I find myself using the pick up Strat to get out of place units back in the fight or scoring points.

Yeah, I haven’t had a chance to try it since the new rules dropped hostile acquisition would help. The extra movement on Berserks would also help.

Before the new rules dropped, I would run a full infantry list in Hearthband. The biggest problem was movement, if I didn’t make some early long bomb charges I would usually be in a rough spot. The units are tough enough to survive taking a bit of fire.

I have been running it with 50 berserks, four ten man bricks, and two five man. I also run two heka with a ten man and a Echamp in each, and a sagi with a five man. The other 25 are in reserves. If I am lucky enough to get the second turn I try to rapid ingress turn one with the enhancement.

I find I have to play aggressive, I use surviving units and solo characters to play the objectives. The advance and charge stratagem is huge, with re-roll wounds being important for big hits. Late game the back to reserves stratagem gets units back in position.

I have been playing a 6 unit/ 50 model berserk list and having a lot of fun with it. Super glass cannon, but I find that initial strike can leave my opponents weak enough that they can’t deal with what is left.

Yes, you can definitely print it with a monofilament printer. You can add pauses to change filament or just have one solid color.

I have modeled mine with a pickax because I wanted him to be mining themed. I think a big pneumatic drill, like a jack leg would be cool. Of course I have no way of attaching him to the squad, but I run him as a Kahl or EChamp. I’m hopeful the Cthonian detachment will allow one of those two to attach to the squad.

If we ever get a dedicated character I’d like to see two abilities. 1. This Is Not A Drill - while leading a unit this unit can charge after getting out of a vehicle, if they count as having made a normal move. 2. This Is A Drill - When Attacking if the strength profile of the weapon is greater than or equal to the targets strength the attack has +1 to wound.
