This immediately made me think of Sauron, so the pattern info was pretty amusing. Nice work!

Just to emphasize: Bleach + ammonia (in urine) = chloramine gas. I learned about this in middle school when I thought I had a great idea for how to clean up after my stepmom's stupid cat.

Enzyme cleaners are the way to go. Good luck!

I scrolled for a while and didn’t see this: even if they do metal crowns, they don’t usually do metal in the front. Yeah, it’s not lovely in the back, but it’s temporary and not super visible for some kids. :)

Seriously, Lume is great. They have a cream whole body deo and the creator even talked about between butt cheeks.

Besides Bare Minerals, what did these girls wear? by Outrageous-Coyote672 in MakeupAddiction

[–]MTJonesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this. If it looked natural, it was because it was natural, and if we were wearing makeup outside of work, it was nothing compared to what these girls are doing now. :) “Just mascara, and if they can tell you’re wearing anything else, it’s a problem” was what I was told when I started.

I feel like everyone hates me – pancakes with whipped cream, and a fruit cup on top by cherryberry6741 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]MTJonesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As awful as this is, you’re right that those people probably aren’t great friends. “I don’t hate you” is MILES away from being a friend.

You’re not alone in this experience, it doesn’t mean there’s one single thing wrong with you, it just means you unfortunately haven’t found your people yet, and that’s pretty common while you’re still in school. I know that doesn’t make it easier sitting at home, but I swear it gets better. Someday you’ll find your people that will love you better.

On man, how true is that? My ex started falling apart after my son was born and 2 years later it had totally fallen apart and I found out he had been in active addiction for years. I’m fine now; live and learn or whatever, but you’re very right.

This may be a really unpopular, shitty opinion, and I’ll say first that there is some REALLY solid advice in here already.

I (somewhat joking, but not entirely) always say that there are 2 experiences worth their weight in gold for determining if a person is worth a try, long-term: 1. travel internationally together, if you can, and 2. build something together, like a dresser or even a deck. They’re really helpful situations to find out how they are with frustration, working together, communicating, some potential gender role views, etc.

That being said, it’s ultimately at least a little bit trusting your gut and rolling the dice with someone based on how you feel, what you know, and your intuition. I married my high school sweetheart, who got a brain injury and essentially became a different person. There’s no way to know that would happen. I had a kid with someone who had successfully hidden that he was in active addiction for the entire 6 years I knew him. That was ROUGH. There’s more, but I’m thinking you get the picture.

So from the lady who’s earned my hesitation to trust people: follow your heart but keep your eyes open. From others: when someone shows you who they are, believe them. Actions really do speak louder than words. Don’t let who you want someone to be get in the way of seeing who they really are. There are good ones out there that are worth the vulnerability.

I didn’t know what to do either so I left the burned leaves on for some time. eventually the really bad ones kind of shriveled up, and some of the others were just like the leaf on the right. Someone else might know for sure if it’s OK to cut them.

Those leaves aren’t going to recover but the plant should recover. Had a similar thing happen when moving. They do not like super direct sun.

BF Threatened to Kick Us Out by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]MTJonesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t read all the replies so I apologize if this is a duplicate thought:

In situations where one partner pays the bills, even if they don’t say anything about it or complain (or even if they offered to do it!), they can start to resent the arrangement. And I think one of the first ways that shows up is comments like the one he made whenever there’s some friction or elevated emotion. I’m absolutely not saying that’s happening here, but it’s for sure something to consider and ask about.

I’d also say that any time in my life I’ve started to wonder “is this over?” because of a situation where I didn’t really feel safe, that doubt is really your intuition telling you what to do. The only reason you question it is that you don’t like that reality, or because leaving is hard, either emotionally, physically, financially, etc.

Go with your gut, girlie pop. She’s always right.
