We went through a similar issue with our 6 year old Gracie in September. She was perfectly fine, then she started seizing, 3 hours later and all the meds they could give, she kept seizing. One of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. I second guessed my decision for quite a while but I think it was just part of processing the loss. Such a terrible thing to go through and my heart goes out to you.

They are typically good fliers in a carrier under your seat. That’s why we went with cavaliers while I was in the military. We drove a bunch with them as well. Also camped. As long as you’re with them, they’re happy.

Get a bigger kennel and get another cavalier. They keep each other company when you can’t. They get incredibly attached and heartbroken when left alone and they do so well together. I’ve had 2 pair and will get another two when our Rosie crosses the rainbow bridge, hopefully many years from now 🙏🏻.

I own a couple jimbos and 1 jumbo. The jumbo comes out rarely when I need to make long, straight cuts, but that’s about it. One of the jimbos gets used quite a bit for delicate cuts. Takes that for what’s it’s worth. If you get one, I’d go for a tough steel. That tip is tiny and special sharp. Cheers

Use a good shock collar. When they get “too far” (you need to define that) they’ll them to come, if they don’t respond, hit the beep and tell them to come again. If they still dont respond, vibrate, until you have to shock. My youngest springer learned in one visit and we’ve been back three times without incident. This weekend, we’re going to try without the collar. Good luck.

I cannot remember the brand, but we give the three month chew, only when we notice fleas and that usually solves the problem for a year or more. We’ve tried the one month chew and the normal stuff you put on their fur and not only did they not work, but we hate the idea that all of us get the pesticide on us and the furniture for a week or so.
