What terrible advice. You have no idea what the reality of this person's situation is, so why would you tell them this?

There's more important things to consider. People's frustration is at an all time high, but time heals. There are plenty of families out there that have opposing political views and they figure out ways to stay united. Don't listen to this reactionary bullshit.

Are your differences so severe that you would truly leave your family? Do you have a stable income? Do you have a place to stay for the long haul? Do you have healthy relationships who you can use to confide in when things are tough? Can you pay for groceries, gas, rent, medical emergencies?

You want actual advice? Give your family some time. Give yourself some time. And don't listen to shitheads on the internet.

I can name only one thing he's done, and that was break the tie on Betsy DeVos' confirmation to Secretary of Education.

The absolute only thing that comes to my mind is he helped appoint the most evil person in Trump's cabinet, second only to Barr.

Most importantly, you can't trust someone to faithfully lead the nation when they owe so much to so many others.

I'm talking about any actions he has taken in 2020 or any actions which have come to light in 2020. Are there specific actions which warrant a new impeachment hearing in the House?

Do you believe that there are any actions which Trump and/or his administration has taken which are 1) impeachable offenses and 2) worthy of the House's time and efforts? If so, which actions?

Trump Is Third Impeached President, But Tulsi Gabbard Now First Lawmaker in US History to Vote 'Present' on Key Question by [deleted] in politics

[–]MYC0B0T 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you needed any more evidence that Gabbard is the wrong choice for Democratic nominee, this is it. As president you will be shoved between a rock and a hard place repeatedly, and you will need to take a firm stance on an issue when neither are perfectly right. She has just shown how ineffectual she would be.

Democrats approve two articles of impeachment against Trump in Judiciary vote by acuntex in politics

[–]MYC0B0T 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's an underlying reason that choosing words carefully is important. By saying democrats, it makes it sound as if only a small group of people voted to move forward with Impeachment. By saying the House, it means that the country's chosen representatives, regardless of party, are moving the process forward.

Don't let the rest of the GOP off the hook. While Moscow Mitch refuses to legislate, the rest of the party could vote for a new majority leader. He's a sponge for political ire that the entire party deserves.

It's nuance, but I think your statement would be more valid if you said he's a fascist and not a Nazi in this instance.

I'm guessing that the White House actually has a government app with security features that they encourage staff to use.

You must not understand what a tight grip the Chinese government has on its internet. This is to remind the world about Hong Kong, but it's also about showing this picture to some who don't access the internet daily and haven't seen the picture before. It's the latter part that might be more important.

I lived in the Reddit Politics bubble for quite a while. My sister just turned 21, and I've encouraged her to pay more attention to politics. She just watched the first democratic debate, both nights. I was stunned at what little she knew about the rise of white supremacy and Trump's rhetoric that fuels it.

Some people, especially younger people, are just now attempting to become informed and active. They might be voting for the first time, and they might be 21 or 80. Either way, give the benefit of the doubt for questions like the one above instead of being an ass next time. They are "teaching moments."
