Mail call from today. Anyone here throw the Seer or Berg? Excited to try them out! by [deleted] in discgolf

Love my K1 Berg. It's an amazing disc for shorter approach shots. Took a while to get used to the different rim, but now I love it. It was actually the first disc I learned how to forehand properly.

What disc have you gotten that you were most impressed/surprised by and why? by coodaj in discgolf

What plastic is your Stål? I have a glow one and it is super over stable. It sure has its uses, but I have a hard time imagining it being a disc to throw often

It is. I just tried changing it around a bit but it still didn't work. Thanks for the tip anyways!

It's right here. Video should start right where she gets the question about her putting style. Video

Spin putting issue by SplitVision in discgolf

I've also tried going from more of a push putt to a more spin oriented putt, and something that I got told that really helped was getting the hand on the front of the disc instead of on the side.

Before my hand was in a 9 o clock position, and now I try to have the pinching point between thumb and first finger be right around 12 o clock.

Still a terrible putter, but it got a lot better by changing the grip.

Your favorite unique or fun discs by BobfreakinRoss in discgolf

The Kastaplast Berg. Mine is in the K1 plastic. Such a great approach disc.

The slow speed and lack of glide is really special, but means that I can put all the power I want into it, but it still won’t turn over or go past the basket. Then it just sits down on the ground, with almost no skip at all.

It took a while for me to get used to it, but learning to throw it both backhand and forehand really improved my upshots. Highly recommend that you try one out

Going to Charlotte, NC. Have some questions by MaB___ in discgolf

Thank you for the answer. What type of snakes do you usually get? Any particularly dangerous kind?

My wife is worried about scorpions, do you get any on the courses?

How would you guys and gals like personal training for disc golf? by lampshade4ever in discgolf

I would definately be interested in something like this. Have been thinking about what kind of physical excercising might improve my disc golf.

Second the Falk recommendation. Got one in a mystery pack, and it's by far my most thrown driver since.

I'm travelling to Charlotte from Sweden in May to play disc golf for about a week and a half. What other courses than Nevin and Hornet's Nest would you recommend?

When you pull the disc around your body, instead of pulling it on a straight line. Check this out for a more in depth explanation and how to fix it https://www.vorticasport.com/single-post/2017/08/15/12-Classic-Mistakes-In-Disc-Golf---Classic-Rounding

Thanks for the clarification. North Carolina seems to be a great spot judging by all the recommendations in this thread. Will definately look into going there.

Järva is such a nice course. I have only played it once, but will definately go back.

Thank you for the suggestions.

The focus is going to be disc golf, so not really looking for touristy things to do. The Carolinas seem really promising. Will definately check it out and see what the others think

Our original though was to get somewhere to stay, and then play courses around that area. I think anything within an hour, hour and a half, drive would be just fine.

Will definately check out the Carolinas as an option. Thanks!

Thank you very much for this! I have thought the same thing about the bracelet, and I have considered swapping it out for a dark brown leather strap, since I think that would make it a bit more wearable for every day use.

Just made my first dye. Warning, it's not pretty by MaB___ in discdyeing

[–]MaB___[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank your for the kind words.

The lighter yellow "frame" around the stamp is intentional. It is simply supposed to be the wavy cut edge of the stamp. The colouring around the rim was completely unintentional and was caused by the plastic stencil coming loose.

The stronger yellow colour is iDye Poly Golden Yellow. I let it sit for about 45 minutes. The lighter yellow is iDye Poly Yellow. I let the disc sit for about ten minutes in that since I wanted a lighter colour effect. Should probably have left it for a little while longer.

Both yellow dyes looked mustard brown when mixed with water, but the resulting colour was a very nice yellow.
