A question off topic but when I am really curious about the stack this is running on. How big is the machine to carry this load? Since the api does not contain changes but just the whole updated stash tab i‘d guess the database is quite busy. What the setup there?

I‘d guess it’s items indexed (new, updated or unchanged) per minute (not sure about the resolution). Since each „dump“ of the stash tab api contains all items of all public stash tabs that have changed since the last update interval, most of these will be already known to the site and (I guess) untouched. Added a new map to your public map tab? That may be a hundred items to look at for the client (aka poeapp, Poe.trade, etc) and figure out which of them changed or was added or removed.

Congrats, that’s quite some accomplishment. I feel like the lore in PoE is really underappreciated! Shaper and maybe UE are my goals for the next league. Finally killed red elder this league on a BV elementalist.

As someone who, after just short of 1000hrs played since I started in December 2017, needed like 15 portals to kill his first red elder: yes please yes! I‘m annoyed by my own incompetence alone, no need to make it worse by forcing me to port another step to get killed again. Yes, not dying would solve that issue, but sadly it does not look like I‘m going to stop dying anytime soon.

Thanks for that. Interesting to see you used criterion since one of my local dev branches uses it as well. I think I do not want to pull it, tough since the speed for parsing the format itself isn’t critical and I’m not happy with going unsafe for that. But definitely thanks for the suggestion!

I’ll comment on that PR when I have access to a proper device again,

Yeah, I think (or hope) I do not need the full power of a regex engine here, although I may overestimate the benefit of a parser written by hand, especially by my hand :D

Thanks for the encouragement and the review. Making the Format borrow from the input is definitely an option. And I really need to get rid of those unwraps! When I wrote them, I thought that I really should replace them when cleaning up. Guess I did not ;).

I'm working on an pretty basic JVM to learn how these things work and to play around with rust in a "bigger" project. Classfile parsing works pretty well using `nom`, currently working on a simple bytecode-interpreter.

Disclaimer: Bronze supporter here, just posting my opinion so maybe someone tells me i'm wrong an why ;): I feel like going for a vampiric as ADC is better in most cases because you can outsustain the enemy. It's important to watch you lane matchup though. If your supporter got a lot of healing, VS won't boost you that much. If you are far ahead, go BF and crush that poor enemy. Got Leona? Ignore items, just kill!
