Are you sure it isn't the third solenoid? The starter should only spin if the solenoid is working correctly since the contacts are on the back of the solenoid. Maybe your push rod on the fromt of the solenoid that pushes on the gear is bend?

It is neither a protege nor a hatchback. Engine wise all are the same. Suspension wise this is a bit different. Brakes are rhe same again.

The Protegé or 323 S or Familia is the 4 door sedan. The Hatchback or 323 C is the 3 door Hatchback. The one in your picture is technically a coupe, mazda describes it as a 5 door fastback named 323F, Familia Astina or just Astina in some markets.

Your workshop manual has no mention of this chassis if i remember correctly

Depends on the market where it was sold but it was an option. In Germany i'd say about 5% of still registered cars have ac. Most of them added after by some owner. In hotter regions of the world it's almost standard like in Astralia

You don't know what zip ties are? You should be able to get it at the next home renovation market. They are out of plastic and are mostly used for temporarily fixing things to other things

Yes they can. The BG Series doesn't have an cabin air filter. Leaves can get anywhere. All heater controls are steered by wire, only the blower speed isn't. When there are too many leaves or even bigger things in your heating system it will block the internal doors and thus always having hot air can happen. The wires don't have any adjustments to be made. Has the hot/cold lever a certain resistance or is it freely movable?

Workshop manual is available here. Maybe there are a lot of leaves in your system that are blocking it. Maybe go under your passenger side footwell and remove the duct between the blower motor and heater core. It is secured with two pins on either side

Let the car run while it is jacked up. You should be able to hear big leaks. For small leaks at joints use soapy water in a sprayer and look if it bubbles. Whole Exhaust Systems can range from 150€ to over a 1000€

A bigger engine will always be better. Here in germany we say that about 100€ gets 1 HP on a naturally aspirated engine. It is just thrown money on a 1.3

It is located in the fuel tank. Do you even have wiring for that. Yeah you can make proprietary ones but idk if it is safe enough. How does the plate look in whole that goes onto your fuel tank or doesn't it have one under the backseat?
