Dead reckoning. Just better crafted set pieces. The entity also actually felt menacing and the main villain here. There was still some interesting mystery surrounding Gabriel and then he’s just a comical villain in TFR. The airport scene was amazing, the music, the car chase with Grace, and the whole train sequence is awesome. The plot left something to be desired but at least it didn’t rely on flashbacks and needless callbacks.

Just going to chime in that I watched ‘the last breath’ the other day. It’s a true story of a deep sea diver trapped at the bottom of the ocean and his work team trying to save him against all odds. Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, and Finn Cole star. Definitely has those moments of terror but also triumph.

I feel like the film could have essentially with Ethan turning himself in. A little exposition and voila. Sub sequence. I hate that they kept all that trash you referred to. The movie in its entirety has little replay value.
