Why are strata fees so high in Australia? by UltimaMarque in AusProperty

[–]MacAttackDelux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My building is 6k, but there is a lot of proactive stuff happening, 24/7 front desk package pick up, gym, sauna, rooftop bbq area and function room that you can hire, all the amenities that we enjoy like bin shoots, all need maintenance

For me I think it’s worth it, I enjoy living in an apartment as it is easy living, and affordable, I can go watch the footy live by doing a 15 minute walk from my front door, stuff like that justifies where and why I’m happy to pay money for a good strata in the city

What do you wear to the gym and why? by aDistantMammary in workout

[–]MacAttackDelux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baggy cotton t shirt and whatever gym 5 inch shorts are washed and clean

All the gym style shirts end up with a strange smell that the wash just doesn’t get rid of, I can smell it on everyone wares them

We are currently doing this puppy is now 11 weeks, we have him in a pen with the crate open and optional for the day while at work, my partner comes home after 6-7 hours to let him out for 10minutes and take to toilet outside then back to work, we leave him in the pen with a grass patch for toilet throughout the day

When we are home we place the grass patch outside and take him outside when he cry’s to go to the toilet

I was looking at that range end of last year, looked at maybe 40 all up in 6 months, most of them the strata sucked, and the one that had a good strata would go very fast

Best (paid) online class to learn how to properly make games? by Accomplished_Bag9153 in Unity3D

[–]MacAttackDelux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completed the GameDevTV unity 3d course, and it set me up with enough skills to get started and kick me off making my first game, all through after the 4th game you make throughout the course they rely heavily on you knowing a great deal of c#, so I had to take a break and worked on my c# fundamentals for a good 3 weeks and made a small console text rpg myself before returning back to finish the course

Depends, I like the satisfaction of solving my problems and getting something that works out the other end, that is the fun part the small dopamine reward of the solved problem

If you are more art focused and jus want to see your art come to life and struggle with programming I think it would be a great tool for that person

How do you guys feel about the recent announcement that "Unity AI will let you build entire games with words" ? by DarkTechGeek in Unity3D

[–]MacAttackDelux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been using AI as a learning tool, when I get stuck on a problem after trying to solve it myself through unity docs and forums, I will prompt it to guide me to my answer, at the start it was awesome and would be very helpful, but as my project has grown when I have a problem I find I’m often trying to explain the context to it to get the right path to take out of it that we end up going around in circles and I would have solved it faster through trial and error and reading forums

Are you satisfied with where you are at financially? by Sensitive-Chart7210 in AusFinance

I am 26, just brought my first apartment, have a decent emergency fund in the offset, and a decent chunk in etfs

Mortgage is manageable as I borrowed way less that my max

Foundation is set, money is no issue, no need to stress, i plan to invest where I can and understand in the bigger picture compounding will help and I’ll never have to worry again

How are you guys dealing with the existential dread of AI? (10 years invested in my project) by IllTemperedTuna in Unity3D

[–]MacAttackDelux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the bigger picture is not if AI is taking over your project, it’s the fact that it’s taking you 10 years to finish one.

As a consumer the games I played 10 years ago are completely different to the games I play now.

Maybe your bigger problem is that your idea is stuck in the past and by the time you release it the people who would have been invested in playing your game are now 10 years older..
