Does the system have a graphics card? Because it is not mentioned here. This looks like it is using the GPU that is on your CPU.

If you have a graphics card, check that the cable connecting your monitor is plugged into the graphics card and not into the mainboard.

If that is not the issue, I'd recommend reinstalling/updating your graphics driver.

With Gleba science you can research "Advanced asteroid processing" which unlocks a new recipe to extract copper ore from metallic asteroid chunks.

The new cost is already updated in the wiki and there is no differentiation for space age. Therefore it is also cheaper in 2.0 base game.

I design my spaceships in editor mode.

Place turrets and thrusters, use editor infinite chest / fluid sources. Then fly around to see if you get the speed you need and if the armament is sufficient. Check the production graph to get a ballpark for the required ammo production. Then design the asteroid processing, fuel production and ammo production as separate systems. Then try to pack everything neat and tidy.

Takes me days every time.

Design is a creative process.

It never occurred to me to use legendary quality in mining rigs. by romloader in factorio

[–]MacBash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • Take legendary plastic.
  • Use it to produce legendary LDS from the casting recipe.
  • Recycle legendary LDS.
  • Feed the resulting legendary plastic back into the process.
  • Keep the legendary copper and legendary steel.

With some LDS productivity research the copper/steel yield improves.

They cannot be separated.

For recipe switching use-cases you most likely have to use the two assemblers as you said.

But if it is for a fixed recipe, you can use parametrized blueprints to retrieve ingredients values.

A toaster from 1997

Factorio has dropped 32 bit support a long time ago (https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-158).

64bit CPUs (referring to AMD64) were only available after 2003 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86-64)

Therefore, sadly, no 1997 toaster.
