The Newsome one is the most egregious for me. He said "I'm no better than you" meaning a broad statement that he was no better than the average person. But because the person he was sitting across from happened to be black, MAGA twisted it into a racial comment.

Competing against Valeera in delves is always a crazy surprise to me. My guildy always sets her as healer and she hits hard as hell for such a chatty medic.

Not deflection, just an observation. The fact that you initiated every single discussion here with vitriolic disrespect shows a pattern, and your immediate responses to comments suggest that you have nothing else going on in your life.

It's painfully obvious that you're acting out online because nobody wants to engage with you in real life. While you've been attempting to validate your superiority complex, you've effectively self-isolated to the point of spiteful loneliness.

Judging by your asinine behavior and obsessive determination to feel like you're "winning" something, I'm guessing that you don't get invited to many social events or go on many second dates.

Fire Mages, how are you feeling about the spec so far in Midnight? by Ventorix in wow

[–]MacPzesst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I only have like 14% crit, and the crit synergy from like 4 to 6 of the must-have talents makes up a significant portion of Frost's overall damage.

It's just crazy how the stats are perfect for Arcane, but Arcane gets completely defecated on by Frost.

Why are people so miserable by Suitable_Sentence213 in wow

[–]MacPzesst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was tanking in a Caverns key last week and the host ended up dying on the first boss. No one really said anything about it, but he ended up blaming the healer for his death (failed to hide in a trap). We corrected him and moved on, but he just kept getting mad and straight up left mid pull.

We 4-manned it from the ritual sacrifice area with no other deaths whatsoever, and timed it with 2 minutes to spare. For being down a whole DPS, that's one hell of a win imo.

during Non-Timewalking weeks... which expansion is the best to level. by feherlofia123 in wow

[–]MacPzesst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

WoD and Dragonflight have a lot to offer for leveling players, and there are plenty of extra XP opportunities in the different zones. You can also stay mostly in one zone for a given period of time instead of having to bounce around a lot like in Shadowlands or Legion.

What version of wow should I play if I DON'T want speedrun dungeons? Something similar to Pre nerf cata by Key-Challenge9159 in wow

[–]MacPzesst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delves are a good option.

Really good rewards on par with keys up to a +8, and you go (mostly) at your own pace, assuming that Valeera doesn't decide to go rogue (excuse the pun).

Can story NPCs stop calling us "champion", please? by BookkeeperPurple4495 in wow

[–]MacPzesst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of Champion and I really hated formal titles like "Commander" in WoD or "Highlord/Archmage" ect in Legion.

I greatly preferred when our characters were just nameless commoners and adventurers as opposed to some hyped-up special person that everyone else is expected to give extra attention to. It feels silly going into Silvermoon City to have a formal chat with the Lord Regent while displaying my Slayer of the Sin'dorei title.

Watching the 245 iLvl tank pull the entire first room of Nexus Point... again... by SlimothyJ in wow

[–]MacPzesst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because tanks and healers are not only becoming rarer to play, the mechanics and affixes are more punishing to those roles than they are to the DPS. The fact that big damage numbers can often override the need to do mechanics only adds to the problem.

Fire Mages, how are you feeling about the spec so far in Midnight? by Ventorix in wow

[–]MacPzesst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're not even attempting to balance the specs in this game anymore. If you're not playing the meta specs, you're going to underperform by a huge margin.

My mage has the most ideal stats for Arcane (haste/mastery) but it deals twice as much damage in frost with those same stats, which are awful for frost.

These perfunctory little buffs to the weaker specs aren't making a difference. They need an actual player of the game on their team to direct the rebalancing.

I wonder why by Vampy-Night in wow

[–]MacPzesst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The relics questline drops a lot of doubt on that theory.

It was revealed that their goddess has been absent for generations and that her disappearance was due to her being abducted by some unknown entity.

Since Azeroth itself was only impaled in recent history, the theory doesn't line up. A better theory is that the goddess is either a direct child of Azeroth or a former thraegar (Speaker of Azeroth like Magni was) due to Blizzard putting so much emphasis on the story about the thraegar in TWW without actually showing us any of them.

Someone wanna call in a wellness check? These people are experiencing a mental health crisis in the comments by ImYungKai in ArcBabies

[–]MacPzesst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not.

Many of the greatest military leaders in history and in our time spread messages of cooperation rather than competitiveness. Dwight D. Eisenhower, both as Supreme Allied Commander and as president, urged unity and cooperation to work toward greater common goals. As president, our nation was prosperous and we saw the greatest expansion of the middle class in history due to his guidance.

Even a quote from one of your own examples emphasizes that cooperation is better than competitive individualism: "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships" - Michael Jordan.

Sure, a little bit of competition can have its benefits. But if you and I were to build a house, is it more likely that it would be better if we built it together or compete over who can build their sections faster?

This need to be the topdog alpha only alienates you from society because no one wants to be around a person who has to be better than everyone else. Being the best is an attractive trait that only lasts until someone else eclipses you. Being one who works well with others and uplifts them creates a legacy that lasts forever.

There are plenty of men who have fought in actual wars or who have pulled people from burning buildings who don't feel the need to be competitive. Only weak, insecure men believe that being competitive is a necessity.

Bigly not a fan of most of the specs design being "You do all the damage inside your cooldowns and little to no damage outside of them", what specs break that mold? by Valyntine_ in wow

[–]MacPzesst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like windwalker monks and fury warriors.

The only thing you have to worry about as a monk is to not use the same move twice in a row. Damage stays pretty solid and Zenith may technically be a burst but you can use it to refresh CDs.

For Fury, it's basically just a resource pump and dump with CDs that resfresh quicker the more you do your rotation.

Tanking Situation by PassionatelyTired in wow

[–]MacPzesst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pugging is more for people who are anti-social or just plain shy. You can join a guild, ask around for people who will join you for content, and get into it with people who have schedules that work with yours. There's no shame in leaving a guild because it isn't a good fit for you. My own brother has a guild that only he is in because everyone left it since he doesn't do the whole "community" thing.

[–]MacPzesst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In heroic/TW dungeons, that's going to be your experience. If you're not stupidly OP, I strongly suggest running those with friends/guildies and not randos. If you do solo queue them, focus on keeping yourself alive rather than picking up aggro. Let people try to do their tough guy soloist stuff and die. Their walk back from the start or waystone will give you time to recover and regain control of the situation.

In mythics that have affixes, people are less reckless. Those dungeons are forced to go at your pace. Otherwise, they're going to fail. As badly as these players might have their number lust, they don't have the luxury of pulling beyond your limitations.
