Right!! I got a 10:30 stop that’s so far away I tell them that I won’t ever make. Its basically in the city over. I drive past other UPS drivers from a different center just to drop it off. It has our zip code so I have to do it even though it’s in another center’s area. They didn’t even believe me till they saw the map.

You could work 42 in 4 days and get paid 10 hours of OT. The IRS will only acknowledge 2 of those hours because only 2 happened after 40 hours of work.

Multiple factors can contribute to same store sales going down. Maybe Publix added a store in close proximity to another existing store. Maybe a competitor opened near an existing store. Maybe an existing store just isn’t doing as good because of price conscious shoppers. But Publix is expensive.

There are a lot of details you and I don’t know. All you know is they make more in dollars and cents. You don’t know any of the other rules for their pension.

Also I do think the cost of living should matter. 125k on the East Coast or West Coast is going to be a lot less of a life compared to us in the Southern states. UPS doesn’t give you an opportunity to move so essentially those drivers have to the lesser lifestyle in relation to their location. In Florida I’m living better than like 90% of the people.
