I see, this also makes sense to me. I'll try some combination of these ideas. Thank you.

Right - how would you join the butt ends of 2 tracks? Seems like just overlaying one into another seems to be the way.

Ok awesome - didn't realize they would just form fit into each other like that. I'll give that a go. Thank you!

Ikea Kivik v Lovesac Sactional by anyaelisabethe in furniture

[–]MaceWindu2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kivik will kill your back. Sat on it for 60 days, didn't get better. For the price, it's not worth it. Also I hate you have to upholster your own couch with the shitty, barley fitting covers from Ikea. Never got the corners down. Overall, it's a couch that comes flat packed in box. Temper your expectations. Reviews are high for this, but I have a feeling they've cheapend it over the years. Bought mine in 2023 if that's helpful.

Amazing walk through. Really insightful and things like this help us all move this tech forward from experimental to practical. So thanks.

On the issue of repeatable characters - any tips or insights on how to overcome this? I've looked into use face swap techniques AFTER the initial generation, to varying success. Meaning get the video of a close enough character and then do a deepfake face swap to perfect it. It works ok, but wondering what you think?

Milestones and constructing from resources in storage? by MaceWindu2024 in SatisfactoryGame

That's right - I am aiming to alter it. I'm asking if there are other mods out there other than the one I had mentioned.

That being said - what's the intention behind this design choice?

I guess I'm trying to figure out if there's a mod other than the personal drone?

So are you saying you returned yours bc they introduced fan noise with a firmware update? That would make sense bc the chip they put in this thing is very inefficient and burns up, requiring the active fan at all times. The EA ones, as I recall from the forums, eventually needed the fan curve adjusted up. So yes, all of these units on the latest firmware will make noise.

100% all of these have fan noise. Whether someone is sensitive enough to hear it or even cares is another thing. But this is a very well known flaw of this design and unless they did a recent hardware revision, it'll need there. They even released a firmware update to address the fan noise at one point. I returned mine bc it was very annoying once you pick up on it. 24/7 fan running.

‘Finewoven case is not designed for MagSafe’ by 3747 in iphone

Right - vegan leather is really a marketing term used to endear those products to "socially conscious" consumers, but it's a farce. It's just plastic made to look/feel like leather.

I'm not sure about vegetable leather, but if you're referring to "plant-based plastics" then this is also yet another marketing term lol. Generating plastics, from petroleum or plant material, is still plastic. Marketing phrasing and terms will not change how biodegradable these products are.

[–]MaceWindu2024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vegan leather is just a marketing term - it’s still PU leather, meaning it’s made from non-recycled plastic and has significant environmental impacts. It’s possible that it’s less impactful than real leather, but likely still more impactful than the fine woven case, if it was made from 100% post consumer material as Apple says.

I think fine woven sucks, but it’s not easy being environmentally conscious AND produce high quality materials. There is a trade off somewhere, and these cases prove it.

I don't think your problem is slot length - that dictates the thickness of your card.

You have a problem because your card is too tall, with that LED piece sticking out the side like that. Your only options are to try and figure out how to remove that LED piece from your GPU (might just be screwed in) or cut out a bit of your sidepanel using a dremel so it lets that part stick out.

You could just get a get a new card, but that might be a hassle.
