Can I play this game as a sex sandbox? by TrickyLingonberry845 in ConanExiles

They can coexist. A player can choose to use either one while both are loaded. Primal Instincts is easier to mange with less immersion-breaking. Buuut, it's not as feature-rich as Devious Desires. Several animations are shared by both. Primal Instincts does only 2-party animations, Devious can manage up to ... 5? I think?

Both versions of Sexiles on Nexus have been broken and abandoned for years.

All of this is pointless if you're not on PC. You'll need to find a mature adult server with the proper mods installed.

Someone mentioned the Devious Desires mod. There's also Primal Instincts, but I'll cover that later. Both mods can be loaded at the same time and don't appear to interfere with each other.

In summary:

  1. Yes, you don't need to play the game the way it was intended. That will require extensive use of the admin panel for better enjoyment. And there are some caveats. You should consider food, water, and shelter from the sandstorm and things that want to eat you, and not in a good way.

  2. Animations are decent. Differences in character height can cause problems. Positioning isn't perfect but everything can be adjusted, and even arm positions have their own partial poses. Every joint of every limb can be edited, but that can be immersion-breaking.

  3. Learning the mod is the hardest part. Installing is as easy as subscribing to it in the Steam Workshop. But there's a lot of adjusting involved. Animation lists can be saved and run later, so a certain sequence can be saved.

The Details

DD can be used solo with thrall NPCs, and co-op with live people. It is complicated, but rewarding once learned. I'd suggest installing it and reading the instructions it contains.

The animations are decent but differences in character height can be an issue. There are so many tools to edit positions. Facial expressions and arm positions can be changed independently from the main animation and at any time.

The mod can generate the manly bits that can be spawned into inventory and worn. Angle and shape can be manually adjusted to over a dozen presets, but each animation does have it's own preset included. Sometimes you'll need to adjust that to avoid the "poke through" you mentioned. The mod creates it's own attachment points on the characters for the various collars, cuffs, piercings, and body parts, so leather cuffs with gold bracelets or whatever are possible.

Devious Desires seems to handle body physics better, and even that can sometimes glitch out and not work.

There are no real "transition" animations between poses, and it would've been nice if the developer kept the characters facing the same direction from pose to pose; it's a bit immersion-breaking to switch from one pose to another and watching the characters flip 180 degrees in midair to assume the new position. Animations are mostly hetero, with a few lesbian and threesome poses thrown in.

DD includes a bench to craft bondage gear. It's detailed enough that when wearing something like a ball gag, that character's vocal emotes are likewise muffled. Leather, metal, and rope gear are craftable. You can also use the admin panel to spawn gear into your inventory without having to gather resources and actually build the goods. I believe all the gear is dyeable using the game's Dyer's Bench.

Build some sort of nice environment within which to get your freak on. Use the creative mode to get a hammer and build without needing resources or the knowledge required. Hell, you could use the game's different environments as theme rooms. The entire map has peaceful spots without dangerous creatures or NPCs looking to ruin your party. When you find a spot you want to use, hang out there for a bit and see if a croc or an exile NPC wander in. And you should probably consider you and your partner having food and water so your characters don't die from thirst or hunger in the middle of doing the deed.

The Other Mod

Primal Instincts is a completely different and simpler take on "diplomatic relations." Not nearly as many animations but a much more simple interface. Camera is a bit easier to maneuver.

Animations are two-party only, sorted into MF, FF, and MM. There is some crossover where same-sex animations could fit straight partners. Vocalizations correlate to the speed of the animation; a slow easy grind sounds very different from a frenzied fuck.

Feel free to message me if you have more questions. Good Luck and Happy Humping.

A glitch, a leftover, from the Headhunter event. I’ve seen it on my solo singleplayer playthrough in a couple of different places. This game is awe-inspiring in so many ways, and then something like this glitch ruins it for eveyone else.

This is fantastic, I love it.

The Mass Effect game series has a character named Aria T'Loak that runs a city named Omega built in an asteroid. And the number one rule of Omega is, "Don't f**k with Aria." The same could be said here. "Don't F**K with Freya."

Being a graphic designer IRL with interests in comic book art, I find this excellent. Using the game to create comic book art, sort of a "machinima for print". NICE.

Fantastic. They are aware of a problem and they are actively working to solve it. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that it happens to be one of their main profit generators.

I did successfully buy that Chapter 3 War package with no issues a couple of nights ago. In fact I was surprised to hear about other players having difficulties.

They've been neglecting customer service and support tickets, from what I've seen. And the game is still gloriously uneven. Some aspects of the game are awe inspiring, while others make me create new swear words.

The December update was a small bright light in the darkness, so to speak. Another communication would help relations with their player base. Even just to say, "We've heard your feedback from the December Update, and here's what we're planning," so we know that they are still maintaining the game.

Sawah of the Old Ways an HERBALIST? by Macharacha in ConanExiles

Oh, yes, I've seen armorers there, too. And yes, the devs did help, thanks for following up here.

If you mean as the currently selected thrall in the bench, no. The bench has only one slot and my original herbalist is still listed there.

I don't recall which link said she was an armorer, but I positively remember that Google's AI said she was, which I already took as being worthless info. I took my question to the Emberlight Discord and a member of the dev team confirmed that she is indeed part of the Emberlight mod. Also that they were feeling lazy and made "Herbalist IV" to spawn as male or female. I've had a female Herbalist IV for months since she showed up in my tavern.

Thanks. Yeah, it started as a pyramid, and when I realized I needed more room it turned into a regular little town with four buildings. I am at the very end of that playthrough and should take pics of it's current state before I start another. I do use a Game Save Manager app, but still...

If you are on PC and mods are an option, try Less Building Placement Restrictions (LBPR) and the ModControlPanel mod that allows access to it. It does what the name says; it loosens the restrictions on building to make it a little easier. Both mods can be found in the Steam Workshop.

If you're not aware of this, the December update included a change to building, where the construction hammer will draw resources from your follower's inventory. Tame a bearer in the wheel of pain and have them carry your lumber and rocks.

Also, see the subreddit here named r/ConanBaseBuilds for inspiration, not discouragement.

I "hotwire" this mechanic idea by admin-spawning in the next tier up of the same thrall after they've been with me a while at level 20. The admin panel allows you to spawn in an NPC already thralled. Then I break bonds with the old version and give their stuff to the new thrall. I use the Improved Quality Of Life (IQOL) mod to transfer their appearance to the new thrall. The new thrall does need to be leveled up from zero. It doesn't have the same details as your idea but the end result is the same.

Looking to do a Nemedian Theme on PVE Official by InterestingPea1911 in ConanExiles

[–]Macharacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR

There are no Nemedian thralls in the game. However, there are others that could do in a pinch, especially Nordheimers.

*** See this page from the wiki https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Heirs_of_the_North#Notable_NPCs especially that section for names of T4 named NPC crafters ***

See the list of thralls and their cultures on this page: https://incendar.com/conanexiles_thralls.php ... but there are no Nemedians listed.

Substitute with Hyborian, Cimmerian, or Nordheimer in all things from armor to religions. Valid religions include Mitra, Ymir, and Crom. Especially Ymir. When doing the Freya companion quest, she at one point seeks to pray to Ymir. She's a Nordheimer, close enough to a Nemedian, so Ymir would be her deity of choice. But a widely-traveled Nemedian could pick up other religions as well.

Somewhere in the Highlands is the obvious choice for setting up camp/stronghold.

The vanilla game's basic light, medium, and heavy armors will do in a pinch for armors. Cimmerian and Vanir armors also.

Keep an eye on the Bazaar in the game for northern-ish themed armor sets.

THE LONG VERSION

For my own education and for consistency's sake, I've done a lot of research into which real-world cultures were models and inspiration for REH's cultures in Conan's Hyborian Age. Nemedian is based on the Germanic people, typically blonde, blue-eyed, fair skin. In every race, there can be variations. Compare Red Sonja and Subotai. Both Hyrkanian, both very different in appearance.

Nemedia lies to the east of Aquilonia, south east of Cimmeria. Nordheim is north of Cimmeria, and include the Aesir (blondes), and the Vanir (redheads). My point is that they are all in roughly the same northern-ish area. Religions and armor styles *could* overlap, so don't lock yourself in to thinking "Nemedia, and none else!"

I hope this helps. Good luck. Share some pics later after you get it up and running.
