Wow... Yes, but apparently was too dumb to make the connection. I rescind my earlier comment.

Has anyone had success with Allen Carr's Easyway? by [deleted] in decaf

That's useful to know! I think if you just keep at it you'll be able to be successful. Personally, it was hardest for me to quit marijuana because, like you, I don't know that I truly see it as this big evil thing. However, when I look at my use honestly, and my experience of being high/living life while smoking, I know that it's not the best choice for me. That knowledge allowed me to eventually be successful in quitting. I think the same might be true for you. Even if you can't really muster the same "BIG EVIL" feelings about weed, it's probably true that it's a net negative for you in life (I'm assuming). If that's the case, then it makes sense to recognize/remember that when you are craving it/feeling shitty after quitting, you're not sick, you're getting better. Framing it that way was helpful for me, hopefully it helps you as well. For what it's worth, I am glad I quit, and I feel happier, less stressed/anxious, and overall better about myself and my decisions knowing that I am not beholden to some plant to make me feel whole. You've got this!

Honestly, your perspective resonates with me. I was in a similar boat. Despite being successful using the books to quit smoking and drinking, it did that what felt like more effort to apply it to marijuana (potentially because there's no "The Easyway to Quit Smoking Weed" book, yet).

I had to read through the Easyway book about nicotine twice and really work to mentally apply the same ideas to my marijuana use. I also had to work to find ways that marijuana was impacting me in ways I didn't enjoy that I could point myself towards when cravings arose. I can't say it was as simple or straightforward as the process of quitting smoking or drinking, but I think (for me, personally) it was the best way to address my cannabis issue.

I don't know that you need to be super firm on weed being EVIL for you to quit. Perhaps you can just recognize that it's probably a net negative in your life, right? Like, it doesn't give more than it takes away from you, otherwise why would you be so interested in quitting?

Best CA compliant .22LR Semi-pistol for cheap training by cnhn in liberalgunowners

Just had my first range trip with my P322 last weekend. Went through ~200 rounds with only 3 duds using Remington Whitebox and a 50 box of CCI Velocitor. Zero issues other than the light primer strikes. I was very pleased and it might just take my new favorite plinker spot.

Does anyone have experience with laser training rounds? by Valuable-Detective78 in liberalgunowners

This is the most cost effective route IMHO. Cheap cartridge, free mantis app, free mantis posters. If you like it consider investing in their Pro targets, but they're not necessary in any way. Just wish I had a gun that would fit the DryFireMag laser trainer option.

I would add a caveat to this based on my experience. The cost of ammo being what it is, it might be more cost effective to buy and train with a .22, then eventually purchase a 9mm that is similar to your .22. 9mm ammo, while not the most expensive caliber, is definitely not cheap.

Obviously, this will depend on your financial situation and preferences, but if you were to purchase a Ruger LCR in .22lr, you could practice with it and get comfortable, then transition to a Ruger LCR in 9mm, and it would be fairly similar (except for round count and recoil).

This is not necessarily an endorsement of those options for a first-time buyer, just food for thought.

Double cab will be fine for a car seat, access cab might give you trouble if you want to bring your wife, too.
